We have stayed in hotels and inns all over the world, and this was one of THE BEST rooms and amenities we've ever experienced. We opted for the deluxe room with fireplace, spa tub, and balcony overlooking the courtyard. Yes, it's a few extra dollars per night, but worth every penny.
The room was spacious, ultra-clean, with a new LCD widescreen TV over the gas fireplace. Free wireless internet service was a welcome bonus, as was the free continental breakfast each morning. Take the time to make a waffle -- they're delicious.
The guest amenities are on par with a five-star, full service hotel. The three hot tubs are clean, and actually hot. The two swimming pools are cool and refreshing. We even enjoyed the steam room and sauna. There's a huge gas fireplace in the perfectly landscaped and well-appointed courtyard. Get a second-floor room, if possible, so you can better enjoy the view.
We stayed at the BW Dry Creek Inn for three nights while touring the Sonoma Valley wineries. We wished we had stayed there for the entire week we were in the wine country. Make sure you ask the front desk for complimentary tasting passes. We asked a day too late and could have saved about $50 in tasting fees at Seghesio, Sbragia, and Mauritson (all of which have great Zins this year!).More
