Hard for me to give a concrete rating for this hotel. We stayed here twice this summer. The first time was a standard room which faced Dry Creek Rd but there was minimal noise from outside. The room was roomy enough to have a sofa & coffee table and an armoire which contained a small closet & the TV set. The refrigerator was under the bathroom counter. There was also a large desk. We didn't make the breakfast, so can't comment other than the Dining Room seemed very stuffy. Resort fee of $2 seems a bit of a reach - for what? They did allow a one night stay, however, which is a rarity in wine country.
The second time we were booked for the more expensive & upscale Tuscan tower, facing the business complex to the south. The room was large, and had a balcony which overlooked the inner courtyard, but the view was blocked by the strange angles formed by the corners of the building, and the staircase, and a business office tower that stuck into the courtyard. The Tuscan room had a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, closet, desk, TV case with refrigerator, and corner chair. Although there was no noise from the street or freeway, something about the entry way of this room, picks up a loud electrical/mechanical vibration from outside, that cycled on and off all night every 10 minutes. Add a noisy air conditioner, and refrigerator, and you have a recipe for a very sleepless night. Our room also had dirty grout & missing drywall from around the light switch. This speaks of poor maintenance, especially in their "remodeled, upscale" unit.
Bottom line: good value, & good location, but management can't do anything about the noise which is outside the property. However, since the noise isn't in every room (our friends next door where ok), it seems like they could check the entry way insulation or construction to see what might be amplifying the noise in room 524. Normally, I'd give this hotel a "3.5" but with the external noise, and the fact that both times, the front desk didn't give adequate directions on how to get to the room (we went in circles both times), I'd have to give it a "2".

Room Tip: In the Tuscan Tower, ask for an upper room facing the older building.

Spent two nights there last week while doing some wine tasting in area. Location is next to freeway but did not hear any noise. Room was nice but flatscreen tv was in funny place on low desk. Feet blocked view while on bed. There was a mirror on wall behind tv that should have been moved.

There are two pool and hot tub areas (looked like smaller one for kids). Pool was nice temp for a hot day.

The free breakfast room was very crowded and noisy. They kept running out of things and the staff had a hard time keeping up. There was a good assortment of breakfast items including waffles, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. If you don't want to have breakfast at the hotel the give you tokens for 10% discount at Adel's Restaurant, located on the property. We ate dinner there and the food and service were excellent.

Still good value for price and will stay there again.

I didn't give the five stars because of the lack of drinking water. Other than tap waster that tasted like chlorine, the only water available was in the workout room and they were out of bottles for the dispenser. The machine that sold bottled water was not working. I had to walk to the gas station on the corner to pay $3.00for a 28oz bottle of drinking water.

We had a 2 night stay here in September. We arrived in the early evening having been travelling for 8 hours to be told that they had no record of a booking in our name despite the fact that we had booked via Hotelopia over a month before. Fortunately, the receptionist - I think her name was Christina was excellent, she sorted out a room for us and honoured the rate we had been quoted by Hotelopia.
We had opted for one of the new Tuscany rooms and were glad that we had as the older rooms looked a bit tired. Our room was large and well furnished with a comfy king-size bed as well as a large Jacuzzi bath. The self service breakfast worked fine for us and we were pleased to be able to use the on site launderette as well. A dip in one of the pools at the end of a hot day was also welcome.

Room Tip: We requested and got a room on the upper floor and away from the road in the new block and were very happy with it.

We had a room with a King size bed. Bathroom a little tight even though vanity on the outside. Décor in lobby and exterior of buildings quaint Tuscan. Breakfast was in another building that we had security.

Room Tip: King bed is a really good size room.

Okay, you're staying in Healdsburg which can be pretty pricey. This Best Western is a good choice if price is important to you and you aren't looking for the quintessential "wine country inn." Be sure and request (and pay for) the upgrade to the "Tuscan" building. These rooms are more modern and have amenities that the older building doesn't have. The entire property is kind of oddly laid out. There are halls to nowhere and huge conference rooms (I guess they hold conferences and meetings here but there were none going on when we were there). The room we had was clean and nicely decorated. It had a HUGE tub in the middle of the room (actually only accessed by the bathroom door but it had an opening into the main bedroom). It had a tiny balcony that looked out on a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace. The breakfast room is large, but since the property is so large (about the size of two normal-size BW hotels) it was crowded and noisy in the morning. All in all I would say it's a fine place to stay if you're okay with a large "motel"-type place and you don't want to spend $250 or more for a room while you enjoy wine country.

Room Tip: Be sure and ask for the Tuscan building. You may want to request a room that opens to the courtyard. I suppose the outside rooms are okay too, but you may get road noise or a less-than-acceptable view of the parking area or garbage enclosures.
