We have stayed at hotels along the square and did not get good sleep because of all the hub bub noise both late night and early morning. Best Western was very quiet. The housekeeping staff was not loud early in the morning either. We stayed in the Tuscan section and our teen children stayed in the older section. I saw their rooms and they were roomy and clean although somewhat outdated and of economy class. They were very satisfied with their room and the free breakfast.

Our Tuscan room was not completely upscale, there were things like an unpainted pocket door, lol. I imagine it was never closed for maintainance or housekeeping to see while inside the tiny toilet room. There were some other not fully upscale standards of decoration or finish work in the room but overall it was very comfortable and pleasant enough. It was kept very clean. The beds and linens were very comfortable and it was roomy enough for our needs. It had a fridge in the room which was nice because there is a really wonderful health and gourmet market just half block away and so we were able to keep picnic food in the fridge. I don't think there are any really good views from any of the rooms but the location makes up for it. We walked the 10 blocks or so to the starbucks and the square frequently on the course of our trip and my kids loved the skateboard park which was less than half block away (have your kids bring safety gear as it is a rule). The breakfast was typical of this class of hotel; I grabbed a whole grain pastry at starbucks each morning instead. We would use this hotel again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn a few weeks ago for the first time.

I have to say I usually enjoy staying at a more upscale place that has a spa (we loved Hotel Healdsburg during our last stay), but we decided this time we'd rather spend the money on wine instead of a room!

I booked the room on Hotels.com and got a rate of something like $179 a night. (What a bargain!) Check-in took about two minutes and we were in our room. I booked one of the new Tuscan rooms and we were very pleasantly surprised!! This does not look like your average Best Western!!

The Tuscan wing is separate from the old wing and it's actually gated and you have to scan your room card to get in - kinda nice to have that added security.

We were in room 534 which will look over the pool (when it's done) and the parking lot. Not a gorgeous view, but it suited us just fine.

Let's start with the bath...the granite vanity has double sinks, there's a large soaking tub and a separate room with a shower and toilet.

The bedroom was good-sized with a king size bed, a desk, dresser, a chair and ottoman and two bed side tables. I can't forget the coolest aspects of the room - the fireplace, the flat screen TV above it, as well as the DVD/CD player w/surround sound! Really a nice touch!

The colors are pleasant, the bedding was nice and the room overall was very comfortable. There is also a nice little balcony with a table and two chairs - which will probably be more enjoyable when the pool is done.

There is a hottub on the first floor in the middle of the tuscan wing - we didn't use it did seem there were people in it most of the time when we were coming and going.

The room rate included continental breakfast in the room on the first floor. Included are cereals, a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries and breads, a few pieces of fruit, etc. It was fine for us, but if you are a non-carb eater, you'll be eatting a banana and a hard boiled egg!

The breakfast room is nice enoiugh, but it got pretty croweded in there by the waffle maker (only two waffle irons) and the station with the cereals and breads (only one toaster for bread and another for bagels.) Maybe once they get the patio area open with seating out there it will get better.

The location is ideal - it's right off the 101 and the main exit for Healdsburg. We were coming to Healdsburg for a release party at Seghesio, which is literally less than a mile away. Very cool!

And don't forget the lovely downtown Healdsburg area!! Great shops and great restaurants! Check out the Dry Creek Kitchen and if you want to really splurge on dinner...go to Cyrus which is in the LeMars hotel. Unbelievable. But be prepared to spend some cashola...the tasting menu (amazing) is $120pp and the basic wine pairing is $89pp (the grand pairing is $189!) But we felt the food and experience was worth it!

We enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely be back. As I mentioned before, this is not your usual Best Western - go check it out for yourself - you won't be disappointed.

Healdsburg is very pricey. That makes the Dry Creek Inn a great value. However, this motor court reminds me of the old motels on the interstate back east. It was clean, but had a '70s look. That said, the newer building looks very nice. However we didn't stay there. If you are looking for a good value, this place is fine. If you are accustomed to upscale hotels, look elsewhere.

We stayed for 3 nights at the inn and had a good time. The room was clean, staff very friendly & helpful and is conveniently located between the quaint town centre and the numerous vineyards within the Alexander/Dry Creek Valleys.

As stated in their web-page the rooms are HUGE. However the bathroom was the least functional one we encountered in our 2 week trip. It was a very small commode/shower compartment, which is weird because there was a lot of extra space in the room.

The commode was interesting in that there is a sign essentially saying that to conserve water you need to hold the flushing handle down for 5 seconds. This is very inaccurate, it took 11 seconds and usually still required a second flush.

The section of the Inn we stayed in was the oldest, but the rooms were nice. The exterior was hammered but under repair. The newest section was beautiful, and when the pool is completed it'll be very very nice.
