“Quite the hidden gem”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

When I first saw our room, I thought "had I made a mistake" because it was a tiny room with an interesting layout. It turned out that it was fabulous. The bed was totally comfortable with a featherbed and really soft sheets. Lots of windows over looking the garden. Great shower. Couldn't ask for more. The breakfasts were WONDERFUL! In the evening they made pizza in a pizza oven and had a winery come pour wine. We used their bikes which were great (no cost to us). Owners were very helpful with figuring out where to go. We were able to walk into town for dinner, to shop, etc.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this well-maintained and wonderfully located B and B in Healdsburg. John and Keren were wonderful hosts and very helpful with everything from finding us a driver to helping us ship our wine home. The breakfast is truly yummy and we especially enjoyed hanging out in their beautiful backyard for wine tastings and John's delicious wood-burning oven pizzas. We will definitely be back!

The food was very special, the room was small but quiet and the Inn proved to be a very comfortable place to stay. It was close to town and the inn keepers were very helpful with local attractions, including several 'coupons' for free tasting at some of the local wineries.
Glad we stayed there.

We have now stayed with John and Keren three times and have had warm welcomes and wonderful gourmet food not only for breakfast but also with the evening wine tastings they put on for their guests--homemade pizzas from John's own pizza oven this time! All three of the rooms we have stayed in were comfortable, quiet and tastefully decorated--we felt pampered! We love making Hayden St. our wine tasting home base!

Outstanding B&B in a residential area of Healdsburg. Stayed in the Plum Room, which is a cozy room with a queen bed. Nice in suite bathroom/shower. The hosts, Keren and John were great; made you feel very welcome, provided a wonderful breakfast, helpful with places to go. The inn is an easy walk to the square where you can get a wonderful meal at a multitude of restaurants, as well as some cute shops. The inn had a nice backyard, as well as porch to hang out and enjoy the weather. I will be returning to Haydon Street Inn on my next visit to the area.

In September had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Selected based on proximity to square and accomodations for group of 3 former co-workers renting separate rooms. Exceeded our expectations. Not only was it close to the square but he service and quality were excellent. Co-owner and chef John delivered gourmet breakfasts and some superb wood fired pizza (from his oven on the patio; with wine poured by local winery). Co-owner Keren took care of our every request from making reservations, planning tours (free tasting coupons at many fine wineries) and notifying us of events. Turret room is unique with tub in bedroom, fireplace and A-frame like ceiling (if you are tall, may not want to rent this one). Bed was very comfy. Blue room nice but toilet and shower are across the hall (not shared with any other room).

Room Tip: Turret room great for nimble couple under 6'

This is a great B&B in a residential neighborhood about 3-4 blocks away from the quaint town of Healdsburg. We stayed for 3 nights in the comfortable Garden Room. The bathroom was split which made it very convenient for use. They also had a community refrigerator that was available for use on the lower floor.

The gourmet breakfasts they served each morning at 9am were amazing. It was also a nice touch that they made carafe of coffee available before breakfast. Much appreciated by us who need to have coffee as soon as we wake up. The coffee they served is locally roasted and delicious.

We enjoyed the wine hour each evening and meeting other guests and tastings of Sonoma wines. Keren is very knowledgeable about the wineries and she gave us recommended vineyards to visit on our first day and offered complimentary tastings coupons that was a nice perk. I wished we asked her recommendations for the next day but we went out on our own and paid wine tasting fees from $5-15 each so after visiting 3 wineries these fees can add up.

Healdsburg is an adorable town to visit with great restaurants and one of a kind stores for shopping. It was a great base to explore the smaller boutique wineries in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. We purchased two cases from the Sonoma county vineyards that we visited and are enjoying the wines very much now that we are at home. It was a wonderful stay.
