Great location in Healdsburg, but the Inn could use a little more maintenance. Our room had a moldy smell that never went away in spite of .the window air conditioner running continually while we were there. Towels seemed like they had been washed a few times too many, and the shower in our room was very dated.
Breakfast was good, but heavy in carbs. It was nice to have fruit generally available and a treat each afternoon.
Best part of Camilla is the location two blocks from the square.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. I am so sorry that your room had a moldy smell. We just put the air conditioners in the rooms this past weekend with the heat wave and I think a couple of them need to be replaced because of residual dampness. If you could call or email us with which room you were in it would help immensely. I will check the towels too as we always want to have fresh fluffy towels. When we bought the inn there was only one bathroom and now there are 11 so we're constantly trying to update as we go. I'm assuming you're talking about a tiled shower instead of marble? As far as breakfast goes - we try to offer a wide variety - one of our main dishes is a bread pudding or strata but then we try to have hard boiled eggs &/or breakfast meat in addition so that folks can avoid carbs.
I am so sorry you were disappointed with your visit. I hope you'll come back again and give us another chance. We try to have moderate rates for the area and yes our location can't be beat.

We stayed almost 20 years ago and again last year (sorry for the late review). It is not what it was. Food was average, we felt like an inconvenience and the room appeared to have been barely cleaned. (we were in the first room across the building from the dining area. Needs a proper cleaning as does the whole place. I guess they are victims of their own success and don't have time between guests.

Wow - so sorry you were disappointed during your visit. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your experience. I'd love to know when you stayed exactly so I can see what may have happened. We really take pride in our cleanliness and this is the first time ever I've had a complaint about that. We also really try to take good care of our guests. My mother was an excellent cook and passed away 13 years ago so that could possibly explain the food. If you came this winter the house has really taken a beating with all the rain but that is still no excuse.
I'd love to host you in future if you'll give us another chance.
Have a great summer.

Great downtown location, everything is within walking distance. Lucie was an amazing hostess and gave us great advice for drinks, dinner and our drive to the coast the next day. Complementary wine and cheese at cocktail hour. Excellent breakfast, friendly conversation in a beautiful dining room.
The outside of the Inn is a bit tired from the sun but the inside is warm and welcoming! Lovely stay, would definitely return!

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer detailed comments on your experience. We loved having you. With all the rains (finally over I hope) the outside of the inn has taken a beating this year. We have the painters coming in the next few weeks and some major clean up scheduled! Looking forward to a lovely summer down by the pool. Hope you'll be able to come back soon!

We absolutely loved this place and Healdsburg. The owner was great. They took good care of our daughter who is coeliac at breakfast. Their swimming pool was a welcome relief from some hot summer days. The free wine & cheese put on each evening by the pool was not only very generous but a great way to meet some other guests and find out what they had been doing that day. The advice about bagsing a spot in the town square fir a music concert was a hot tip. Really relaxing and a great family room

Thank you so much for your kind words and info on our summer evenings! We loved having you and your family. With advance notice we try to accommodate any special dietary requests if possible! Always try to offer lots of choices. The Tuesday night summer concerts are always a fun small town experience. Our family suite is great for couples with children or 2-3 adults. Comfortable and friendly is our goal. So happy you enjoyed your stay. Come again this summer.

Our second visit to Healdsburg but our first to the Camellia Inn, and we certainly hope to return! The Inn is a stone's throw from the centre of town, with easy access to local restaurants, bars, shops and tasting rooms. Lucy was a wonderful host from the off, incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our room was delightful. We especially enjoyed the big shared table at breakfast and the evening wine gatherings which gave plenty of opportunity to meet and chat with other guests. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice on offer, and great coffee!

Thank you so much for your detailed and kind words. We loved having you and also hope to have you on a return visit. Our coffee comes from a local roaster - Big River Coffee Company and they deliver to us fresh each week. Always like it when guests enjoy as I don't drink coffee! Come back and see us again when you're in the area.
