This is our second trip to Camellia Inn while visiting wine country -- both times have been around Christmas. As always, the Camellia Inn (a beautiful old victorian) was decorated for the season and looking lovely. It was a nice home base while we toured the Sonoma wine country and had some excellent food.

As with our previous stay, the room was clean and comfortable and duly decorated in the Victorian style. The small gas fireplace in our room kept us warm and was a nice touch. The king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a jaccuzi tub, which my wife enjoyed. We enjoyed the wine and cheese in the parlor and the full breakfast each morning. Lucy runs a great place and a tight ship.

The Camellia Inn is located withing walking distance to the Healdsburg town square, but doesnt have a lot of traffic, so its very peaceful and quiet. There is on-site parking, so you dont have to park on the street. There looks to be a pool in the back, but we have never been there at a time to use it.

We stayed here while on a biking tour. Great spot, very beautiful home. Breakfast was very good but served at 0830 which was a little late for us as we wanted to get on our bikes early.
Wine and cheese in the evening was very nice. The coffee was in a thermal carafe and was warm not hot.'
Rooms were spacious and very comfortable and clean.

Stayed two nights at the Camillia and found it to be exactly what we wanted, It was walking distance to Healdburg plaza, amenties included generous wine and cheese in the evenings, wine tasting cards, fridge and ice bucket use, tea and goodies, great breakfasts and beautiful rooms. Lots of rooms meant lots of othe guests to chat with, though one morning there was not enough room to accomodate everybody who came down to breakfast at the same time. Don't worry, nobody went hungry.

Yes, Lucy is amazing. She unflappingly fielded all the questions and requests from a table full of needy guests who vied for her attention. She knows all the best spots and understands what her guests are looking for. The winery she arranged for us to tour was the high point of our trip. My daughter and I celebrated her 21st birthday in Napa and then Healdsburg. At first we weren't sure about Healdsburg, but after one day there, we were hooked and want to come back for a longer stay. It is charming and rustic compared to Napa with such great wineries and beautiful landscapes.

We love Lucy - Camelia Inn rocks!

The Camellia Inn was a lovely place to stay. We were able to walk into town within 3 minutes and be at great restaurants. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great and it was nice to sit with other guests at the dining room table and discuss places to visit in the area. It really felt like you were staying at someone's home. That being said, it was true-to-form Victorian- the decor and rooms were a bit stuffy and old fashioned for my taste. I like crisp clean decor. But that was a minor downside to this truly lovely inn.

We stayed 4 nights at the Camellia Inn and had a wonderful time. It was our first time staying in a B&B and we loved it! So much more personal than a hotel. We stayed in a queen room with a fireplace and had its own private bathroom which was a must for us. Breakfast each morning was very filling, a hot casserole of some sort, pastries, cereal, toast, oatmeal, tea and coffee. More than enough to get us started for the day. Ann, Lucy and Archie were very helpful in suggestions for wineries and restaurants and even helped with making reservations for us and other guests. we really enjoyed them and hope to return! The evening wine and cheese reception was a hit, and all of the guests attended each night to tell of our travels during the day. Can't wait to go back!

By far, the best of the 3 B&Bs we stayed at during our CA trip. The room was large and very comfortable, the B&B's location made it a very short and easy walk to any of the shops/restaurants in the downtown Healdsburg area (we never used our car during our stay), and the breakfasts and evening happy hour by the pool paired great food and drink with wonderful company.

Special thanks to Lucy (the owner/innkeeper) for her recommendations for what to see/do and where to eat in/around the area. All of her suggestions were spot on and extremely helpful. Can't wait to return next time we're in the area.
