After reading the many reviews about Zin, I was left a little disappointed by the experience. The dining room is very large but totally impersonal and feels more like a giant chain restaurant (think Ground Round or Applebee's) than a higher end food lover's establishment. While the wine list offers a great sampling of regional reds and whites, the menu is eclectic to the point of being weird. The Mexican Cobb is just plain gross and the burgers look a bit puny. The service is rushed and a little brusque. Not a cozy place nor is it a comfy place to take a break from visiting the wineries. Looks like Healdsburg, a delightful town, has a lot more to offer around the corner on its main square than over at Zin. I won't be going back. Don't be fooled by the crowds.
