We booked Barndiva a few weeks before we arrived in Healdsburg and I'm so glad we did! I can honestly say the food was incredible. We were seated promptly on arrival by a very friendly hostess and our waiter arrived at our table quickly. We were never rushed and had a lovely glass of bubbly to start off a great meal. We chose the 5 course tasting menu that included an Amuse Bouche that wasn't part of the 5 courses. 1st course was a spring garden salad; 2nd course was a lobster risotto with a crispy bone marrow croquette and sweet pea foam - incredible!!!; 3rd course was Alaskan Halibut with potato puree, morels and chive blossoms - best morel I've every had; 4th was a petite filet mignon with an artichoke tart and carmelized endives; 5th court was a passionfruit lemon bar with creme fraiche ice cream and a carmelized banana.
The wine pairing was incredible as well as was the service. It was funny that this was our first time in wine country and in Healdsburg and that everyone that found out we started our stay with Barndiva said we started at the high point, and I couldn't agree more. Fantastic food!!!!
