I'm a wine lover AND foodie, and have always loved the concept of wine and food pairings when they are done at wineries (which is rarely, and only with an expensive reserve tasting). Kendall Jackson came up with a wonderful concept--take their wine list and build a great tasting menu around pairing it with their wines, but allowing you the flexibility of mixing and matching as well. Prices are in line with other tapas bar menus, they give you the option to do 2 oz or 5 oz pours which allows you to sample a greater variety of their wines, and the execution was wonderful--we either liked or loved every item we tried (the white chocolate cheese cake was to die for!) Our server was a delight and answered our detailed questions knowledgeably, and went back to the kitchen for questions he didn't have the answer to. Best of all, we used an Open Table promotion and ended up spending under $40 for 2 for a fabulous meal!
