Dry Creek General Store is only about 15 minutes from the plaza in downtown Healdsburg and is the perfect spot to grab a delicious sandwich before exploring wineries in the beautiful valley. There must be at least 20 varieties of sandwiches. Had an egg salad and lox sandwich which was delicious. The front porch is deep and wide with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables. Great people watching spot. Can't wait to go back.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The sandwich selection is very good as well. Outside tables are available and the store is right in the middle of Dry Creek wine country. The only issue with me is that, in my opinion the prices are extremely high, even for the area.

We stopped to get sandwiches for a picnic lunch. They were very good and would always recommend a stop here.

Okay, skip the restaurants for lunch (you can do that for dinner). Come here and pick up gourmet sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and take them on your visits to the wineries. This is seriously the thing to do in Healdsburg - you'll see when you get up there and the parking spots are taken and there are long lines to pay. I love this place!

It was time for lunch after a late morning Dry Creek Valley winery visit. DCGS looked like an inviting and historic place to stop since its been in operation since 1881. Apparently we were not the only one to come to this conclusion as it gets busy fast and the parking lot gets full quickly at lunch time. Get there early as the array of selections is huge, AND they can be made to order. So expect a little wait after placing your order. We opted for the Monday special - the Chicken Pesto wrap. It was extremely tasty and large enough to split as we did while sitting at a shaded table on the front porch. DCGS is A TASTY RESPITE IN DRY CREEK VALLEY.
