We had a delightful lunch here and enjoyed the rustic old time general store. Atmosphere was worth our hunt to find it on the winding country roads in the Sonoma wine country. Unique little place!

Make a stop and pick up a lunch to go! Charming old store with yummy food and drinks. We rode our bikes from downtown Healdsburg and then enjoyed our lunch later at a vineyard. Not a "quick" stop since it is fairly busy, but worth the wait.

Three grilled cheese with pesto! Neapolitan Sammie! Pulled pork Sammie! About 30 different choices and all are fabulous. $10 per sandwich, order at the counter and eat at the picnic tables outside. Not low calories, but you are probably there to taste wine too so live it up!

Whenever we're in Dry Creek, we try to take some time and stop by the Dry Creek General Store. From the outside, you'd think this place was owned by some back woods hick, waiting in his overalls, spitting in a spittoon. Once inside, you see that inside this dusty shell is a very elegant lunch shop. More than one person was visibly amazed as they walked in the door.

In our group, we had "The True Italian" sandwich, made from Fra' Mani toscano salami, aged provolone, tomato, olive oil, golden balsamic vinegar on a sourdough roll, a simple turkey sandwich on a soft roll, a Reuben with David's Pastrami, Gruyere cheese, Alexander Valley sauerkraut with mustard on toasted light or dark rye bread, Pork pate on crusty bread, and a nice chunk of provolone cheese right off a huge pear shaped wedge.

One of the greatest parts of this lunch was the "Dang Good Soda" - Butterscotch Root Beer. A must try!

This quick meal sets the stage for the rest of the day, allowing for the tastings to be enjoyed, and prevent the first wines of the day from hitting too hard.

If you plan to go to a winery and have a picnic lunch then this is a great place to go. We grabbed several sandwiches (1 veggie and 1 pulled pork) and it was great. They also have nice area to eat outside.
