“Fabulous food and wine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

Our dinner at the dry Creek kitchen was really delicious. While the food is very gourmet and the prices are high, there is also a prefix for $36 which included three courses for $51 with two wine pairings. While the prefix does not give any options each course was truly incredible.

“Worth a visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2012

We had a lovely dinner here while we had a wine weekend in Sonoma. The best thing about the meal was the vegetables (carrots and beans). Had we just had them I would be giving a better score. Unfortunate the meat we ordered was not that great. The chicken was tough and the short ribs fatty. The risotto was excellent. Overall we had a wonderful time.

“"A Must"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2012

One of the best meals we had on this trip! Great atmosphere, Impeccable service! I reccommend the Pairing menu! The restaurant was exceptionally busy and with a lot of large parties, however, we could have felt as if we were the only ones there, they never missed a beat! Amazing all around!!

“Wonderful wine dinner with the Murphy Goode Winery wine club”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2012

I recently attended a special wine club dinner for members of the Murphy Goode Winery who's tasting room is just opposite the Hotel Healdsburg. The dinner was a private event and was in a large room behind the main restaurant and overall was very good and the servers were fast and efficient in their duties and the wine pouring was most generous. The meal centered on meat dishes as the winery is known for their Zinfandel and Cabernet and spring garlic soup, a roast pork dish and a beef tenderloin course. I was also most impresses with a very creative dessert paired with the winery's semilon. While I have never dined in the main hotel restaurant, the experience of the private dinner would lead me to believe I would not be disappointed!

“Our Go-To Restaurant in Wine Country”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2012

We make frequent visits to Healdsburg as a hub for our wine tasting adventures, and we always make it a point to have dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen. Any restaurant under the Charlie Palmer banner is bound to be good, but this place truly shines. The space is large and very welcoming, and in warm weather you can even dine outside with a view of the Plaza. The menu is always changing and never disappoints with its choices. We were lucky to have dinner on the first night of their Spring menu last week. It was eclectic and offered a chef's tasting menu and their neighbor menu, along with their regular choices. My husband started with greens that were complimented with a tasty dressing, and I had the squash soup, which was amazing. His dinner was the award winner from their Pigs & Pinot event that was carried over to the spring menu. It was a nice sized portion of pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto and served on a bed of local wild mushrooms. I ordered the duck breast at the suggestion of the waiter. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't served with a sweet sauce to drown out the taste, and almost all the fat had been removed. I have to say it was the best duck I've ever experienced. We ended the night with the warm chocolate orange cake, which the server described as "architectural." The dessert plate arrived with a small shot glass of chocolate/orange soda pop, a small scoop of vanilla gelato, and a moist, warm chunk of chocolate/orange cake served inside a phyllo dough envelope. Very cleverly presented by the pastry chef, for sure! On our way out the door, Dan, the General Manager, recognized us from past visits and sent us across the courtyard to the Hotel Healdsburg lobby/bar with a complimentary after dinner pear liquer from J Vineyards that was a delicious form of rocket fuel. I should also mention that the wine list here is very good, but you can bring a bottle of local wine and they will waive the corkage. As always, we had a very enjoyable experience at Dry Creek Kitchen and we will continue to keep it on our list of "must do" whenever we're in the area.
