Owner description: Arista Winery was founded by the McWilliams family in 2002 with a mission to create the most elegant expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. We are committed to sustainable farming practices and sustainable business practices. We farm our 30 acres of estate owned vineyards and we work closely with local growers who share our dedication to sustainability in their vineyards. We do not attempt to manipulate our vineyard sites but instead strive to preserve each vineyard's natural qualities. In addition to our wines, we pride ourselves on having created a true destination experience for our visitors. A breathtaking setting of Japanese water gardens, mountain and vineyard vistas, combined with an inviting tasting room, offers guests a welcoming environment that encourages picnic lunches and leisurely days spent on the estate.

“Fabulous Wines, Spectacular Setting”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Their 2010 Pinot Noir (64% Mendocino Ridge/ 36% Anderson Valley) is one of the nicest Pinots we've drunk in a very long time. Their tasting building is done with a Japanese flair and is surrounded by Japanese gardens with a waterfall and meandering stream. We took our last sample outside and enjoyed the perfect setting. Highly recommended!

“Excellent Pinots”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

This is the small jewel that you always hope you will find when you are wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the Pinot Noir is excellent. The staff was very friendly and a nice fellow named Jeff gave everybody an informative tour of the vineyard area. A great stop!

“Great winery to visit!”
Reviewed July 18, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I go wine tasting frequently! We were happy we stopped at Arista. Lovely grounds, wonderful service, and knowledgable staff. We even got a "tour" of the vineyard. And Arista does Pinots right! A great stop! I'll recommend to others, too!

“Poor customer service”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

This winery is beautiful. On top of a hill, with wonderful views, manicured gardens and lawns, and a nice picnic ground. The wines were also good.

However, the member of staff who took care of a wine tasting did not match the setting. Whilst He kept yawning, and was more interested in overhearing his colleagues conversations than on serving us.

We also bought a bottle of wine. When enquired about a picnic, he told us the parasols, tables at the front were for a wedding (fair enough). However, he failed to mention that at the back of the property they had an excellent picnic facility open for people who bought a bottle there. We just found it by chance when picking our bikes.
