“Surprisingly Great!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

I went here as a joke. I am familiar with Chateau Diana "wine product" that is sold in my grocery store. It turns out that they make really great wine that is only available at their winery. I felt that our server was super friendly. I loved the Chardonnay. My husband loved the Zinfandel. We got a glass of each and went out in the deck to enjoy looking at the Sunflowers. The tasting room was nicely decorated for Halloween.

“Average experience”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

This was the first winery we visited in this valley. The setting was beautiful, with a really pretty tasting room.

First, the service. We were greeted by a very friendly and seemingly helpful worker, but a huge group came in right after us, so we were handed off to a colleague. The woman who helped us seemed to know a lot about wine, but just appeared very disinterested or bored. Her answer to our questions were as short as possible, and unfortunately the whole experience was just a bit uncomfortable. It did seem that the other worker was much more engaged with his group, so I would like to think it was just an off day, as the wines were great and the ambiance very pretty.

The wine itself was impressive. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay, as it was different from what we are used to getting in Chile. While that is the one that stood out the most, all of the wines were really great.

Overall, I would tentatively recommend this place, as I really did enjoy the wines, and feel that we just got someone on an off day.

“Great location, nice wines but terrible service”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

We came to this place recommended by Healdsburg's information office. Upon our arrival we loved the place and how it was set. A big plus is that it had free and open wifi so we could upload those nice wine tasting pictures.

The wines were quite interesting, especially their Chardonnay. If I recall correctly the line was named 707 but I am not quite sure.

The price per tasting was USD 10 but since we had a voucher given by the information office, we got a 2 x 1 deal.

Unfortunately, the service was poor. Instead of explaining the virtues of every glass, the worker seemed to just stare at us and when asked a question, she would not be able to provide a satisfactory answer (either by ignorance or disinterest). Another group that was been served at the same time seemed to have had a much better experience with a more enthusiastic and knowledgeable worker.

This was our first stop in the valley and it does not reflect in any way the service in other wineries. However, their wines are interesting and should be tried.

We enjoyed our wine tasting at Chateau Diana. It was a cool little property and the wine was pretty good. If you buy some wine (reasonably priced I might add) your tasting is free. Fun girlfriend place.

“Great Find!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

On a sunny Monday afternoon we (a party of 5) had the tasting room to ourselves. Attentive service and good wine with reasonable prices. We especially liked the Zombie Zin and if you are looking for some wine for a fun girl's night you have to check out the Pleasure Party Pink Moscato. Love that label! I think there was a $10 tasting fee but we didn't pay it because one of our party joined the wine club and we walked away with two mixed cases of their $10 wines.
