Zinscape

We had a thoroughly enjoyable three-night stay at Zinscape. The cottage is located in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley and is a quick drive to HWY 101 via Canyon Road. It really is an ideal home base for exploring Sonoma County and beyond. We can't wait to stay there again!

Our two-night stay at Zinscape was delightful. It seemed like an oasis of calm after a few hectic days in San Francisco. While Bruce's directions were exact, we weren't sure we were on the right road (which becomes a single track) until the sign appeared -- Zinscape is situated within a small enclave of homes nestled amongst Dry Creek vineyards. The cottage was clean and well-appointed, with a comfy bed, large bathroom, and compact kitchen. Breakfast foods, including coffee, cereal, croissants, etc. were provided. Our dinners on the terrace included local produce and wines, plus a beautiful view. The cottage is secluded, yet only a short drive to shops and restaurants in Geyserville and Healdsburg, and plenty of spectacular wineries. Bruce's suggestions enabled us to make the most of our short time in the area. Zinscape offers good value and a pleasant alternative to staying in a hotel.

We stayed 2 nghts in Sept enjoying the area wineries and attractions. The studio is very nice and well located. We did have trouble finding it however, as there is no sign, and the studio itself can't be seen from the road. We had to call the owner who directed us to the drive for the rental. Turns out we were calling from his driveway. A sign or 2 would be a great help. Inside, the bathroom was luxurious, bed very comfy. A nice patio outside the sliding doors had a close up view of vines, although they were noted as private property, not to trespass. It was peaceful sitting outside enjoying the sunset with our wine purchase! The only negative was that the outdoor table was incredibly dirty, as well as the chairs. We had to scrub them before using. However, the studio itself was very clean, no issues at all. The owner supplied us with orange juice and milk, coffee, etc as well as yummy croissants for one breakfast. He recommended several area restaurants, and some directions to wineries. He is as helpful as you would like him to be, but not intrusive. If you are in this area, I would like to recommend you visit the Ferrari-Carano winery, for it's beautiful gardens and grounds, as well as the lovely wine tasting area. We also enjoyed the Francis Ford Coppola winery grounds also. There are many tastings along the way. We would stay at Zinscape again for sure.

Tucked between picturesque vineyards and gently rolling country roads, Zinscape is nothing short of a gem. Five years ago, my husband and I were honeymooned on the grounds and have counted it a privilege to make frequent return visits as we consider this to be the very best accommodations in the Dry Creek area. The owners and proprietors of the grounds, Isabelle and Bruce, ensure that every detail of our stay is always just right including all of the staples such as coffee, orange juice, and freshly baked croissants. We have stayed in both the guest house and the cottage on our return visits and find both to be a comfortable and serene experience. The grounds are located approximately ten miles from Healdsburg and even closer to Geyserville. Both drives offer stunning views of natural landscapes and working vineyards.

My husband, adult daughter, and I stayed here for two nights while visiting area vineyards. It was the perfect choice for us as we did not want a generic hotel-type of feeling in the evenings after a busy day of tasting. The owner is a former landscape architect who knows how to create the sort of private outside oasis in the patio area with which to enhance the gorgeous vineyard views. Birds, hummingbirds, and butterflies are the only entertainment needed while sipping your fav beverage. Bruce is friendly and ready to assist with directions to area attractions. Our favorite wineries were actually within walking distance of the cottage, although we enjoyed the short, scenic drives to many others. The best was knowing what was waiting for us at our own little personal retreat. The cottage was very comfortable and did not feel too crowded even with the extra bed. (king plus a single) The little touches were much appreciated - nice linens on the beds, lots of pillows, thick towels, real dishes, table cloths, breakfast food, spring water, and of course wine glasses! This place is a hidden gem and well worth it for anyone who appreciates quality as well as overall experience when planning a visit to this area.

We stayed in the Guest Room for one night this past weekend and it was just wonderful. The hosts (Bruce + Isabella) are very friendly and accommodating. The Guest Room is perfect for two people for one night. We were able to walk to a few wineries, relax on the patio and take a short drive into town. It has all the amenities you would want including a fresh carton of milk in the fridge and some snacks (nuts, etc.). The property is beautiful and you literally have a vast expanse of vineyards in your backyard. We will definitely be back soon!

Perched at the edge of vineyards, panoramic views, we felt like we owned the place. Great places to walk, quiet roads, fun wineries all within an easy walk! The cottage is delightful, beautifully decorated, the bathroom is like being in a spa, little kitchen with everything we needed including breakfast foods and fresh croissants. Very spacious accommodations. We rarely saw the owners but they were available if needed. Easy parking, and with a garmin very easy to find.

Room Tip: If the cottage is booked, the room in the main house is also beautiful!
