Description: Spoonbar Chef Louis Maldonado serves a menu of clean and simple dishes honoring America’s diverse culinary influences. His artfully-crafted, market-driven cuisine of fresh, bold flavors is built around seasonally-inspired local and sustainable ingredients. The same focus carries over to Spoonbar’s cocktails which use specially sourced organically-grown herbs, fruits and vegetables with an emphasis on locally and domestically produced spirits. Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

This place is so cool and the drinks are seriously amazing! I listed a few pictures of the drinks and they are not only pretty but yummy. Cool twists like putting in fresh rosemary and flowers. Definitely a place to stop by in Healdsburg when you are sick of drinking wine. They had a decent selection of microbrews as well.

The drinks are excellent - fresh, made correctly, interesting. We had a few bar snacks as well, and they were quite good. It's a small space however, so get there early to get a seat, and watch out for the crowds of post-wine tasting revellers who take up half the bar. It's generally these groups that cause the service to be a little slow, so try to avoid :-)

Went for dinner after a long flight and much to heavy buisness to do in the next few days. Paying with corperate money but never the less it is still money.

Guy at desk asked if we had reservations. Maybe he wasn't all there or didn't mean it but it came off as if they were about to get slammed. We all remarked about it later after we left and there were 3 other tables after we had 4 courses/ 2.8 hours. Waiter didn't know anything about one of the wines we ordered. He should have and since he didn't he should have found out. Someone picked it for a reason besides a pretty label or catchy name. Waiter offered a fix priced menu to a table next to us but never offered it to us, we had to hunt the valet down. There is a hotel associated with this place and hewas valet for both.

Food was outstanding. Great presentation. Service was good but not where it should have been. We are probably some of the easiest people to wait on but we were disappointed. Drink menu was amazing. I had a cocktail and it was a surreal. Maybe we were confused about what to expect. But all of the clues in the place was to expect professional service that was personal. Maybe Sonama is turning into Napa.

Thirty years ago, Healdsburg WAS a burg. A traveller could search in vain for a cup of coffee, much less an espresso. There was, I seem to recall, livestock in the town square. It was a place best passed by, quickly. Today, one can choose from many credible dining establishments in town, as well as fancy-schmancy hotel rooms, twee groceries, and of course, espresso. Healdsburg has most definitely gone upscale. We were delighted to enjoy a few small plates recently at Spoonbar, a lovely space right on the main drag. They were between seatings, so we ordered a few bar bites and drinks. Knowledgable and friendly bartenders delighted with fresh and tasty beverages. The kitchen completely satisfied; a toast with mashed avocado, hamachi and black pepper was a knockout. I'm a big fan of the Negroni served here. We can't wait to make it back for dinner.
