When we first entered this place I thought it might be a bit contemporary for my taste. We arrived at 6:00 with no reservations. Big mistake I guess. We were told we could sit in the lounge area and eat (which is really low tables and even lower couches) or we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar. The chairs were rather uncomfortable but it was a spot to sit and eat. The service was great (thanks JT and Nathan). They made fun drinks for us and pointed out favorite items on the menu. The corn app was great, fresh and full of flavor. I got the short ribs which were paired with quinoa and red pepper it was full of flavor. The barley and crab dish was by far the best out of the three dishes. Creamy and rich with lots of crab. The chicken dish however was not good. The initial presentation is pretty but the chicken consistency is not good. Almost like it was undercooked. We sent that back. The servers were very apologetic and took it off our bill. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee and pane cotta ! Delish!
