“Love this hotel!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Our family of four(two teens) stayed here this summer --- everyone happy!
Green, small hotel with great lobby and rooms. Nice, small pool. Our room had a balcony that we enjoyed. Super comfortable bed and bedding (my ONLY complaint is that, comfortable as the bed was, I got overheated with the comforter -- a medium weight comforter with a blanket would have been preferred). Fantastic bathroom! Many lovely flourishes: Sparkling and cold still water in the hallway that you can replenish with these glass bottles they give you and keep in your fridge, free bikes(only four, but I got one easily) and instructions of good bike routes, bathrobes in room, nice toiletries (in big containers, though -- so there's no waste-- you can't take them home).

We came midweek and left on a Friday, so it was really quiet. They gave us a midweek deal that was phenomenal: we got a voucher to eat at Spoonbread restaurant, the hotel restaurant for free! All four of us! The restaurant was great -- we all loved it!

Great breakfasts, also included.

Staff was excellent!

We dream of coming back, we hope soon! My guess it midweek is better than weekends -- felt like crowds were coming into Healdsburg over the weekend.

Room Tip: We loved our room overlooking the street, but I bet they're all great!

We really enjoyed our recent stay a the H2. The rooms were eco-friendly and appointed well, with some whimsical green gimmicks like cardboard hangers in the closet and a filtered still and sparkling water tap to refill your water bottles. I'm saving most of my superlatives for the bed, which was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Drink wine, eat well and crash on a fluffy duvet and nice pillows . . . what a great weekend!

Having stayed over the years in many hotels throughout Northern CA wine country I can say that this hotel is one of the most engaging. It has a "green" minimalist modern structure/vibe to it that it executes well. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The beds are very comfortable and ensure a good night's sleep. Our room faced the street with a nice small balcony. I was initially concerned as to the possible noise issue but found that the soundproofing was good enough to reduce most of the effects. A continental style breakfast comes with the room and it was of good quality and adequate enough to give most folks a decent start to their day. Their restaurant/bar, SpoonBar, was also well designed and has the ability to be open air while indoors weather permitting. The front desk staff were helpful and knowledgeable as to the area's attractions and activities. We were traveling with friends visiting us from the East Coast and the wife is a long-time corporate travel agent and she was very pleased with the facility as well. There is no hotel parking except a $15 per day valet feature. It does permit you in/out priviledges all day. The hotel also has bikes available for guest uses during the daytime. My only negative was that the bathrooms, while spacious, lack both a bathtub and any form of shelving to put your bathroom stuff.

We have just spent 3 days in Healdsburg staying in the H2 hotel, wonderful modern hotel. The room was lovely, upper floor overlooking the little street, beds are extremely comfortable, breakfast light but adequate. The H2 team extremely helpful and friendly, couldn't fault the hotel, only wished we could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: Upper floor overlooking the street

Healdsburg is one of our favorite weekend getaways, with its charming shops and fantastic restaurants. When we heard Cyrus is closing (sob), we immediately made reservations and started to find a place to stay.

It can be difficult to find a reasonably priced hotel room on a Sept weekend in Healdsburg. We usually stay at the Inn on the Square, but it was full. Luckily H2 had an opening, so we picked it for the first time and found it to be wonderful!

The location is great, just a block off the main square. The design is very modern, our king room (cheapest) was simple but nicely furnished with an incredibly comfortable bed and a lovely private balcony. Wireless internet was free, as was the continental breakfast. I really like the "water station" they have where you can get sparkling water. We loved the Spoonbar for classic cocktails (they make the Martinez!). The entire experience was stylishly luxurious yet wine-country casual. The H2 is our new favorite in Healdsburg!

Room Tip: They charge $15 for valet parking, but if you arrive at 3pm and leave before noon the next day, you...

Skip the crowds in Napa and Sonoma and head to Healdsburg instead for your wine tasting experience. And when you do, stay at the H2 hotel. Great rooms - all green (they do "green" better than any place I've stayed to date). Very modern, minimalistic decor. Open, bright - just has a really great feel to it. Comfy beds. GREAT bath products. We didn't want to leave!

The hotel is right in downtown Healdsburg, so park the car and head out to the restaurants and shops. Excellent biking area. Some great restaurants. A ot of smaller wineries around, so a really intimate type of wine tasting tour. We used a car service - and I'm glad we did. Just made it so nice to be driven to these places and not have to worry about tasting.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room facing the main drag -- didn't hear anything.

Sadly we only had time to spend one night at the H2. We has a studio suite which was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. We had two balcony areas -- but the weather was not warm enough to enjoy them. The mini-fridge with water was a nice touch. Bathroom was fantastic and the bath products were just divine. Had a great dinner at Barn Diva which was barely a block away.
Will definitely be back -- and will stay longer next time.

Room Tip: Go for the studio suite
