“Very special weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

My husband and I traveled to Healdsburg, CA for our anniversary and we felt very special staying at Honor Mansion. Our room was better than it looked in the pictures and the hosts left us a treat for our anniversary. For breakfasts, one day we had stuffed french toast and the other day they served eggs benedict along with the standard continental fare. Yummy! Coffee was brought to our room every morning, no charge. They suggested great wineries and restaurants to visit and there was complimentary wine tasting from a different area winery each evening. We are not usually bed and breakfast people but we felt we had privacy and we truly enjoyed our time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. We appreciate all your kind words and we are so happy you enjoyed the breakfasts, coffee and biscotti basket delivery, and private wine tastings for our guests.

We have heard from many guests that although they are not bed and breakfast patrons, they loved their stay! We believe that this is because our property really does not fit the bill of bed and breakfast, but it's more of a blend of private resort style and service-minded inn.

We are very happy that you enjoyed yourselves on your special anniversary trip. Thank you again!

Warm Regards,
Steve, Cathi, & the Honor Mansion Staff

Stayed at the Honor Masion for a third time. This amazing inn is in a category by itself. We love it as it has a tennis court, hard to come by at a smaller hotel. The grounds are spectacular, with flowers and trees everywhere. The pool area is lovely and inviting. Two outdoor massage tents are wonderful, with the sound of trickling water from a small fountain/waterfall. Breakfast is bountiful and delicious. Eating outside around the coy pond is a special treat. Wine tastings in the evening is fun and gives you a chance to chat with other guests. Can't say enough about this beautiful place with excellent service!! Run, don't walk!! Worth every penny!!

We had a wonderful stay at Honor Mansion this past April 2013 to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and just to RELAX. The entire staff are some of the most friendly and helpful people we have encountered while on vacation - anywhere. Co-Owner, Steve provided great suggestions and assisted us in planning our days, even before we got there. His recommendations were outstanding. This being our first visit to Sonoma Wine Country, we did not have to waste time trying to figure out what to do with this tailor-made itinerary. We visited wineries (including private tastings he arranged), walked amongst redwoods, drove to coastal areas and had great dinners out - all so enjoyable. The scenery in Sonoma is breathtaking. The restaurants in Healdsburg are fantastic and the Honor Mansion staff made reservations on our behalf at all of them. The accommodations at Honor Mansion are beautiful, very well maintained, clean and soothing. We stayed in a Vineyard Suite. These are bigger than they look online! The entire room, bathroom and patio were decorated beautifully, beyond what we could have imagined. The amenities have all been very well thought out and we were able to truly refresh and relax as a result. The attention to detail is not to be missed. We took time to enjoy the lovely landscaped grounds: tennis, putting green, bocce ball and much more. The food at breakfast each morning was excellent and delicious. The wine, cheese and appetizers reception each day at evening, and homemade and unique cookies available each night in the dining room were all terrific. All of the above and much more at Honor Mansion were part of the best getaway we have ever had. We are so glad we chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this very special, romantic and beautiful place. We are grateful for these wonderful people and their providing such an amazing experience. There is a peacefulness and serenity to this place that truly makes it a blessing to all who visit there. We look forward to returning in the future.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of your stay at the Honor Mansion! We are so happy that you were able to get away and relax, and we always love being a part of special occasions like your 20th anniversary.

We love to plan itineraries including the must-see wineries for our first-time guests and also itineraries with wineries off the beaten path for our returning guests—there’s always more to see in Wine Country! Healdsburg is such a great location because it is surrounded by many different regions and makes for a wonderful trip for people with any interests.

We truly appreciate your compliments on our accommodations, amenities, attention to detail, and cuisine. We are grateful to you for choosing the Honor Mansion for your stay, and we look forward to hosting you again!

We just got back from a 3night stay at the Honor Mansion. It was wonderful. The room was lovely, the staff was great, and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfast, afternoon snacks and wine, late night nibblies - all exactly right. It was just a short stroll to downtown Healdsburg for first rate dinners. No need to drive dark, windy roads after a delicious glass or two! The lap pool was just right. Perhaps the best part? No children allowed!

Room Tip: The room with its own deck upstairs is very nice, as is the room overlooking the koi pond.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We appreciate all your kind words and we are so glad that you loved our location and that you took advantage of how convenient it is to walk into town for dinner and drinks!

We do find that our property insurance licensing requiring that all guests are at least 16 years of age provides for a quiet retreat that allows all guests to relax and enjoy our grounds to the fullest. Thank you again for choosing the Honor Mansion!

Everything about the Honor Mansion is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable; the staff members are gracious, helpful and welcoming; the breakfast is delicious; and the grounds offer many recreational opportunities (putting green, basketball and tennis courts, etc.). Anything that can make a guest feel welcomed seems to have been thought of here...the attention to detail is magnificent. There even is a koi pond with eager fish waiting to be fed by guests....with food supplied by Honor Mansion. You will love this place!

"Wow" is the best word I can use...seriously. This place is absolutely fabulous. I was there for four nights with 3 of my girlfriends for a girl's trip to wine country. We hail from all over the country-Colorado, Boston, Pennsylvania- and met in Healdsburg for a fun few days of wine and time together. We stayed in the Mansion rooms (the Magnolia and Cameila rooms specifically). We wanted for nothing! The rooms were comfortable, linens luxurious, bed comfortable, towels and robes thick and warm. The little details were what impressed me...welcome bottle of wine, selection of magazines, the book lights for reading in bed without waking your roomie, the mints, the make-up towels, the CD selection, the camp lanterns for walking on the grounds at night, the sherry, the homemade biscotti and cookies (new flavor everyday), the breakfast variety, the blue eggs from the organic farm, the personalized welcome cards, the printed directions to the airport, the hospitality, the fact that you don't even need to bring your wine from your room the office to have it shipped home. They will have it packed and shipped out the day you leave. Seriously, this place is a fantastic value when you add everything up you get in the price of your room. I was blown away. We enjoyed the appetizers and wine in the afternoon out by the pool. The Koi are beautiful and obviously very well-loved (I think the person who toured us around when we arrived described them as "our begging babies" as they saw us and crowded around begging for food) and well looked after. Location is perfect. Town of Healdsburg is a fun place to walk to for dinner and shopping. Steve, the Innkeeper, seems to know everyone and everyone knows Honor Mansion and it's famous cookies

This place knows how to take care of people and do things right. Awesome experience at Honor Mansion-no wonder it has such rave reviews on TA. Guess I'm adding to the fan club reviews and it's well-deserved.

Room Tip: Mansion rooms are comfortable and perfect. Don't hesitate to book these!

My wife and I are not B&B'ers, but our stay at the Honor Mansion may change that. We had a great time, and only wish we had stuck around more during the day to enjoy all the property amenities. We stayed in the Pool Suite. The bed was very comfortable and it was great having the separate sitting area with TV. Also great was the two-headed shower and two-sink basin in the bathroom. And then the jacuzzi on the private deck! As other reviewers have mentioned, Steve seems to know all of the wineries, even over in Napa. We dropped his name in one winery and they opened a bottle of the winery owner's favorite Cab, after having previously told us that all they were serving that day were their second tier wines. Perhaps the best part of the Mansion was the breakfast. Not a huge selection like you find in a hotel restaurant, but everything is incredibly delicious and there is plenty to fill you up. The scones, a different flavor each day, were consistently excellent. Steve was around every morning, and he and the staff are incredibly friendly, gracious and helpful.

You will not be disappointed in this place.
