We considered staying at the pricier Hotel Healsburg, but were very happy we chose the L&M. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly and the proprietors treated us like extended family (Wanda's homemade scones for breakfast were a GREAT treat!!)
We stayed in Healsburg for 2 nights and, because the town is so compact, it was just a short (10 minute) walk to the town common, so the location was ok.
The rooms were small and a bit out dated, but super clean. The entire property was kept-up very nicely and it was great to come back after a long day of wine tasting.
They have a pool and hot tub, indoor in a separate building, which was adequate, the building got a little stuffy though.
They have a fire pit which was a great touch as a few of us would gather at night and drink some of the wines we found during our visits to the many area vineyards during the day (and some that the owners donated), and cook smores over the open fire...it was nice to chat with the owners and meet new people. All in all it felt much more like a B&B then a Motel.More
