Our family of 3, Wife & Daughter and myself stayed at the Rebels Hide on Saturday 23rd June for 1 Evening. This was a fantastic find. On reaching the accomodation we were met by Claire, the hostess. We were shown the accomodation and all areas of the studio apartment, nothing was missed and immediately we were all comfortable with the facilities. Breakfast items croissants , toast, fruit, eggs were laid out and the fridge was full of milk, orange juice all included in the price. Chilled beers and wine were also available at a very reasonable cost, a very nice touch. The loung area was ideal with wall mounted TV and a homely gas fire lit up and heated the room on a chilly evening. The beds were comfortable and as Claire pointed out we could adjust the layout if we required, this was unecessary as we were happy with the arrangements. Later in the evening we walked a few hundred yards to the local George & Dragon Restaurant, this was a pleasant experience, although busy, and slightly expensive for what we had. Back at the Rebels Hide, we sat for the evening and had a nice glass of chilled wine watched TV and enjoyed the rest and comfort of the room. My daughter was also happy as there was free Wi-fi included. In the morning we met Chris the Host who was cutting the grass and tidying up the already immaculate garden areas. We enjoyed a good chat about the area etc before departing for the lakes.
This is an ideal Home from Home bed and breakfast and we would certainly recommend this accomodation to anyone. Chris and Claire, the hosts are a lovely couple and will make you feel welcome.
