A cross between Mexican and Middle Eastern, this little gem in the middle of Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay, surprised us with it variety of flavors and excellent friendly attentive service.
We have 4 items from the tapas part of the menu. The middle eastern platter was fabulous and the accompanying pita was fresh and warm and soft with just the right amount of chew. The plate of 3 tacos were delicious. The squid was crisp and tangy, but a little overdone. The moussaka was not really moussaka, but more like Chenna Masala with eggplant and some sauteed spinach; lovely with the pita, as if it were nan. Our waitress would have been happy to bring us additional pita, but we had to leave room for dessert. We had a hard time choosing between the rustic pear tart and the brownie sundae, but the table next to us got the sundae and they looked like regulars, so we went with that. It was served with homemade vanilla gelato and a fresh sliced strawberry. Will will have to return one day to try the tart, because based on everything else we ate, it is sure to be a hit too.
