Just ok. It is a vacation place, maybe they need more staff. Not smiling staff, they forgot our coffee and the window on the view was very dirty. The sunshine and the customers make it a fun place be for breakfast and lunch.

“Great location, yummy starters, good beer!”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Wonderful location near the marina, even eating at night with the fog over the water it still was a perfect setting. Selection of seating inside, by the bar, or on the patio complete with fire pits and comfy chairs. Only went for some appetizers and to try the beer and did not leave disappointed. The staff could be a bit more 'on the ball', but the waiter we ended up with was very helpful and genuine.

“Pleasant patio, good chowder”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We had a late lunch on the patio, on a sunny, but very windy afternoon. Our server, sorry, can't recall her name, was excellent, and the view of the bay across the road is pleasant, but not spectacular as the patio is ground level, so only a strip of the water can be seen.

My husband and I both had the clam chowder to start, which was quite good. My grilled (2) fish tacos, however, were not good, the accompanying black beans were also not seasoned well, and for $15.95, the plate should have had some appeal. I can have much better tacos rice and beans at half the price at our local taqueria. These tacos however, were not anything I would ever order again even if it were free taco night! There was enough fish, just no flavor.

My husband's kobe beef burger was OK, and the fries were good. We split an apple crisp, which was large, baked deep dish, with a big scoop of ice cream. More than enough to share. The beer was good. If we ever come back it will be for beer and chowder, as service and the patio

“Large fire pits, plenty of heating lamps”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

For those familiar with the HMB coast, you know that the weather is rather unpredictable. While it's never too hot nor too cold, sunny days aren't a very frequent occurrence. This is where HMB Brewery shines -- you can always sit outside and enjoy the view regardless of the weather.

With plenty of heating lamps and a couple of large fire pits in their outdoor patio, it's such a great place to kick back and hang out. Awesome Sunday brunches, live music on weekends, and just an overall cool place to visit. For beer-lovers, they even have "beer flights" so you can try out their various brews.

Was here just this past Sunday for mid-afternoon cocktails and had the calamari, beer-battered artichokes, ahi poke (which they served with fried wontons) and the Baja fish tacos. Very good food at a reasonable price.

Fortunately for me, I only live a couple of miles from this place so I get to go pretty often. If you are ever on the coast, definitely worth a visit. And bring friends.
