Sam's Chowder house was a destination brunch spot a 35 minute drive south of San Francisco. Take Hwy 1, the drive is scenic and slightly slow but worth it! We arrived around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon and met a 40 minute wait for a party of five. We each had a nice drink at the bar which was also very busy...I would recommend the Kir Royale!
Seated after about a 1/2 hour against the window with a view of the 3-piece band and a sliver of the ocean we had a nice lunch! Grilled fish sandwich was rated a two thumbs up, as were the mussels and the fish and chips! Service was warn but slightly slow.
The restroom line was out the door so plan ahead! The outdoor music scene looked super fun, we will return and participate in the fun!!
