“Best lobster roll ever!”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

I would recommend getting the calamari as an appetizer, a lobster roll and end it with the key lime pie! You can't go wrong, no matter what time of the year you are there.

“Not so great”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

We were there for lunch. I had fried oysters, which were quite good. My wife had one of their signature dishes, the lobster roll, and the lobster was horribly overcooked and quite dry. Overcooking seafood is unforgiveable for a restaurant that specializes in it.

“The place for seafood!”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

This casual seafood joint was recommended by a winery as THE place to eat in Half Moon Bay. They were crowded, but we were seated right away. The waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgable. Our party had oysters, clam chowder, crab cakes and the famous lobster roll, and everything was delicious (although there was a little too much bread on the roll). The ambiance was what you would expect...casual, with beautiful views, lively entertainment in the bar, and wood plank floors that can handle a spilled beer.

“Almost perfect, but.......”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Would have rated 5, however the service was awful after we sat in the dining room. Waitress vanished for long periods of time, forgot wine, forgot water, asked wife if she wanted dessert then walked away before I could say yes, tip reflected my feelings. Had apps at the bar before, should have stayed there, bartender was excellent as were the oysters. Got gumbo and a salad for dinner, wife got salmon, both excellent.
