“Just OK taste but they are fresh”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

We went to have lunch after an hour of biking at Half moon bay state beach. I ordered the signature lobster sandwich. The lobster was sweet and fresh. However, i felt that the overall taste of the sandwich was a bit too bland.

“Beautiful view, food was ok and overpriced.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

We had an awesome corner table where we could enjoy the view of the bay, people kayaking, etc. BUT the menu was a little frou-frou for me. I ended up having the fish and chips, which I usually only get if there's nothing else I like. They were $15.95, which was a little on the high end for lunch. The portion size was generous, but everything tasted a little vinegar-y to me. If you want a lobster roll with a view, this is probably a great place for you. But if you're looking for a fried shrimp basket for under ten bucks, you won't find it here.

“Always a great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

I have been driving down to Sam's from San Francisco since they opened and have always enjoyed the food and Paul's warm welcome. The clam chowder is indeed wonderful...not overly thickened as is most versions and plenty of fresh clams. Other fish specials are always delicious and served beautifully. Well worth a special trip.

“Terrible”

The food was barely edible. I don't understand any of the good reviews, is it all because of the view?
