“Ouch! Way too expensive”

Ok...after a coast to coast flight and arrival at this hotel, needed some sustenance and gave Navios a try. Well, two flavorful salads and a glass of wine later the tab came to $130! Outrageous, despite the great service and average good. Better options in HMB.

“Over priced and over rated and disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a great property but as I feared from other reviews the menu selections, while fresh, were not inspiring not memorable. While the halibut and salmon dishes were fine they were typical faire for a hotel dining room but priced far more than what one would pay at a restaurant. The service was excellent but I would not recommend this restaurant to visitors because it simply offers nothing unique and fresh seafood can be found elsewhere at more reasonable prices.

“Fantastic food, first class service, great views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

The shrimp and oyster appetizer were some of the best I've ever tasted. The cod and pork belly was a very unusual combination, but worked very well. The atmosphere was lively without being deafening, the service was really first class. So far so good. Some small areas for consideration, this is an expensive restaurant, be prepared for $150+ per couple, as such shouldn't the tables have white tablecloths? And (maybe this is a European thing) if my wife is still eating I'd prefer my plate be left with me even though I have finished, we don;t want the feeling we're being rushed. But again overall the conclusion is this is an excellent restaurant.

“Put your money where your mouth is”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Navio is definitely not a restaurant that you go into with concern about how much you are going to spend on a meal. It is an expensive restaurant as is the hotel as well. That being said, from the moment that we arrived to complimentary valet parking until we left, the service was impeccable. The views from the dining area are really special and make you wish that you could just stay there a little longer. The dishes were all prepared exceptionally well from crab salad to a juicy pork chop, and really nicely done desserts. My wife is pregnant and it was our anniversary as well and Benny (our server) did an unbelievable job of catering to our needs and making it a memorable evening. An amazing dedication to individual attention, great food and at the same time, respecting your needs for one-on-one time in a special place. It isn't always easy to do as some restaurants over do it and make you want to just tell them to stop, but Navio has found the balance of giving you exactly what you want when you need it. Bravo!

“Good Food, Nice View of Ocean”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

We had our anniversary dinner at Navio. We had a nice table with a view of the ocean out the window. The menu is primarily focused on seafood, with a few meat entrees as well. They have a variety of appetizers but need a good green salad option added. The salmon was quite good for an entree, and the dessert was nice as well. The service was very fine overall, but the kitchen at this restaurant has a hard time getting the orders out to the tables, probably due to special events going on that night.

Our server and the chef provided an extra appetizer since it took so long for our food to arrive, which was nice. Overall, this is a nice idea for a special occasion restaurant with a view, as long as you are patient for the slow pace of food delivery. If in a rush, this will be a frustrating place to have dinner.
