Great view. A bit overpriced. The buffet is good if you're into small plates. The dessert section is insanely large. Missing a lot of seafood, oddly. Perhaps there is a fish deficit??

The surroundings of the hotel are quite lovely. We enjoyed the nice greeting from the hostess and the serving staff. Hiuge and pricey wine list. Entree's from $30's. I ordered the short ribs that was to come with brussel sprout leaves and squash. I could easily count the leaves and three very tiny pieces of Squash. We also ordered sides of vegetables for $8 and the vegetable portions were meager. The kale came chopped and was overly salty. The brusssel sprouts, however, were good flavored. Although we ordered only the main course, two vergetable sides and one of the lowest priced bottles of wine our bill was over $240 for the four of us.

A beautiful and romantic building, grounds and setting, but unless you are on an unlimited budget I suugest having a $20 appetizer in the bar and a glass or wine $15 or cocktail $14.
We are unlikely to eat there again but would like to visit when you can go outdoors to hear the bagpipper play.

the setting was lovely and service great. We enjoyed our appettizers very much- delicious cauliflower and crab soup and scallops. The entrees were disappointing-very average . We had John Dory that was in a too sweet grapefruit sauce and NY steak that was nothing special. At $45 , that's crazy.
If I were to eat there again, I would order soup, salad and the scallop appetizer. That would have been much more satisfying.
Cetrella in Half Moon Bay is much better.
