Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side.

piano playing during a leaisurely, sunset dinner enhanced the atmosphere. Food was excellent. We had a window table facing the beach.

Was there on a Monday night. Right on the ocean, good food and friendly service, hoped for local seafood but they didn't have any that night.

We have been here many times and alwasy enjoyed ourselves. But this time something rather odd happened. We were seated at a window table, around 6pm so it was dark outside. When we ordered our dinner the waitress mentioned that we had been seated at a "preferred table" and were supposed to order entrees. Who knew? Maybe the management could rethink that one!

We have been here twice and love the food and atmosphere. We have not had to wait too long. Chowder is terrific. Salmon sandwich and crab cake melt sandwich are both fabulous. View is great.

We were there on Nov 5th, due to a discount that we received for being guests at Cypress inn (GREAT PLACE) and when we told them that we had a coupon after we ordered (it was our anniv and my 50bday) we NEVER saw our waiter again....the food was run to us by a guy in the kitchen.... our waiter tended to every table in his section but us...had to send up a flare to be noticed...little does he know that in a previous life I was a waiter and I am savvy enough to tip on the original amount prior to the discount of the coupon.......and I OVER tip due to being in the industry....oh well...in the word of Juila Roberts in Pretty Woman...Big mistake...HUGE.....so we chose poorly as to where to go for our special dinner that evening....but we did not choose poorly in tipping him according to amount of time serving us...and that would be... Zippo. .
