“Great coffee and snacks plus free wifi”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

They make great lattes and have delicious snacks. Ambience is quite sedate which I like. Parking is easy on the street. Occasionally there is music at night.

“Ok”
Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant is now closed for business. You cannot go here any longer. It's my understanding the rent was too high so the business had to close! Which was sad since this was a business that had been open for years here in town.

“Just lovely...”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

I visited the cafe in March on my first trip to the States from the UK and just loved everything about it! I made a special trip to visit HMB and when we needed refueling we passed many cafes, chose this one and it was delightful! The staff were lovely and friendly and the cakes and muffins, a few of which we ordered to take away, were extremely generous in portion size aswell as tasting divine! We stopped for breakfast and smoothies and all were freshly made and delicious. The cafe is vibrant on the inside and has a great community feel about it. This is just how I like my cafes - friendly, unpretentious and with delicious food.

“Nicely funky little place with good coffee”
Reviewed December 9, 2011

The decor is bright and funky, albeit a bit spread out and spartan, and there is some nice art on the walls. It's counter service, and sometimes the lines can be long and the service a tad slow. The coffee and pastries are good, and the sandwiches are tasty.

“Magical community coffee shop”
Reviewed June 15, 2011

Took a trip down the West Coast from San Fran and Half Moon Bay had lots of great reviews for places to eat and so decided to stop in and see what it was like. deceptively not actually on the bay or the beach which i had thought, the small town has a great little high street with great little book stores and clothing stores and food stores and all independent minded and spirited.

it was actually raining and so plan was to grab coffee. La Di Da is one street off the high street but had placed a board saying that it was the best coffee in Half Moon Bay and that seemed as good a reason to test it out.

the coffee shop itself is really open and airy and light with tables well spaced out and a sofa in it. it is obviously a place for the community with what appeared to be local artists work and local children's works around (and a small art gallery upstairs). the staff were lovely warm and welcoming with real interest in you as a customer. the coffee was as good as you'd expect from anywhere but the real difference was all the home baking they did. they had a kitchen behind the counter and baked up "healthy" muffins and cakes which were as delicious as the staff (who did a great upselling job to make the sale over and above coffee) had promised.

the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with no-one rushing or bustling about or trying to clear up and clear you out.

the cafe also has a whole range of merchandise you can buy and are really trying hard to build a shop with some spirit and a place people want to go rather than just pass through. A lovely diversion!
