If you are looking for a fill-you-up, greasy spoon kind of place, the Main Street Grill does the job. The food was underwhelming, even by the standards set by the modest decor. Having grown up in NJ, I've eaten at my share of drive-ins and diners and this wasn't up to the task. The best thing I can say about it is that breakfast is served all day long.
We decided to take Route 1 along the coast on our way from Sonoma to Carmel. Hungry for a late lunch, we stopped off in Half Moon Bay looking for a bite and ended up here. In hindsight, there was probably a better choice among the limited HMB options. The server was friendly and polite and the food came out quickly - maybe a function of our 2 PM lunch - unfortunately, that was the high point of our meal.
Nothing bad to say, per se, just not that great. Somewhere between two (poor) and three (average) stars, but closer to poor than average . . . wish I could say something better.
