We cruised up and down the streets of Guerneville and fell into Boon at 8:45... and they close at 9:00! But the staff welcomed us in, and we had a leisurely glass of wine, ordered, and were graciously served and not rushed at all. My husband had the grass fed burger (sorry, no bacon that night), and I had the flash fried brussels sprouts and mac and cheese. The sprouts were over-dressed with vinegar, but the mac and cheese was the best I've had in a restaurant. Smooth and tasty cheese sauce, wild mushrooms, and truffled bread crumbs. Restrained, delicious, hit the spot. Small place with some outdoor seating, comfortable, stands out in this river town.
