Staying in a cottage on this delightful, quiet property is like being in a tree house. Most of the units are built on an upper level deck (one story above ground-level) and nestled in a redwood grove. I stayed in Wren cottage, a charming studio cottage with a comfortable queen bed, a gas fireplace (nice for chasing away the foggy April morning chill), a full kitchen that included a full-sized fridge and small 4-burner stove, flat-screen TV with DVD player, and a shower with a skylight (you could look up at the trees while showering). The large deck right outside my door offered views of gardens and redwoods. Being across the Russian river from the main road through town and along Neeley Road (a dead-end, so less-traffic), the area is fairly quiet. Delightful place with friendly staff. Plan to come back with hubby in tow next time.

Room Tip: Wren (and it's companion Quail) would be a good choice for a couple. There are a variety of cottage sizes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor. It's always nice to know when we hit the mark. Glad to hear that you liked Hi Five and Armstong Woods too. Hope to see you again and with the Hubby if it works out.

I stayed here with a group of friends for the Vineman 70.3 Triathlon. The Creekside Inn has one of the best locations possible if you are competing or attending the Vineman Race Series. It is across the Russian River from Johnson Beach and is about a half mile walk/bike to the starting line. So, for those competing in the race, there's no stressing out about driving and finding parking. The kitchen also came in handy with prepping pre-race meals, etc.

There was a group of us that stayed in the Tree House which can sleep 6-8 people comfortably depedending on if you don't mind doubling up in the beds/futons. The interior has a rustic country feel and reminded me of a ski lodge. Although it feels like a ski condo (where you're responsible for making beds and cleaning up), the housekeeping staff cleans the Tree House every day.

The loft area in the Tree House is basically where the attic would be. The space has very low head clearance where they laid down three beds. It's basically just a space to sleep. No closets and one night stand up there. Pretty basic but it worked for our needs.

It's not a high end resort with a european spa and aromatherapy treatments. No frills, but if you're competing in any of the Vineman races its a great location, has a kitchen, its clean, and affordable.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We hope to see you next year. We really enjoy working with the Vineman participants. You guys are great! Regarding the loft, it's incredibly popular with kids, but it does provide additional sleeping space and 2 baths never hurts.

We returned to Guerneville for the 3rd consecutive year, and to the Creekside Inn for the second year. Because we had such a great experience in summer 2012, Creekside was our first choice for lodging this summer. We stayed in the Lark Cottage, and found it to be comfortable and clean. The kitchen is a definite plus, as we were able to utilize dinner leftovers and prepare breakfast at our leisure. We have a small dog, who acted as if he was returning to his "summer home". . We appreciated the WIFI and proximity to town for easy walks...and our comfortable, peaceful cottage. We hope to join Lynn and her Creekside family again next year!

We came to Guerneville wanting to check out Johnson beach and found the Creekside Inn a lovely place to call home for a few days. We enjoyed being in the midst of the mighty redwoods. The pool provided a respite from the heat and july 4th activities during day. The hot tub was really nice In the evening as the day starts to cool off. There was also a ping pong table or two though we did not get to use it. The host and staff were helpful and friendly. The TV and cable programs were not the best but Creekside Inn has quite a selection of movies for you to check out. Perhaps, its best to just hang back and read a book instead.

We enjoyed hiking every morning in the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, hanging out by the pool in the afternoon and hitting the hot tub in the pm. It was a perfect, keep it simple, relaxing trip for us!

The Main Street of Guerneville is just a walk away. Johnson beach is also within walking distance but we did not get to go. We had too much fun relaxing by the pool and hiking. Since it is a tourist town, restaurants are a bit over priced. We enjoyed the Guerneville Taco truck which was reasonably priced, buying and making simple meals from Safeway and the Garden Grill, their breakfast was perfect after a good hike!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. It is always good for us to know what pleases and where we can improve. Hope you decide to visit our great little town again. There are more new restaurants in town now and free music in the plaza every other Thursday in the summer.
