The food was acceptable but the room was heated (poorly) with space heaters and there wasn't enough light in the room to see the food properly. Kind of odd.

Based on the reviews I had read I expected so much more. I expected the food to make up for the dirty ceiling, the less than poor lighting and the slovenly staff. What we got was a meal that would have been right at home in a Denny's. I had a seafood stew that had seen better days. Frozen shrimp partially peeled and overcooked with an unidentifiable white fish mush, yet perfectly cooked scallops and salmon in what would have been a very nice stock had they left the shrimp and whitefish in the kitchen. My wife had an acceptable Alfredo, which still could have used a bit more cheese and a grind of pepper. I won't even try to describe the coffee that ended the meal. Hopefully our experience represents a failed nigfht rather that the faiolure of a previously good restaurant.

We went to Chef Patrick's on Tuesday 1/29. We were looking at the menu and were offered the choice of a tasting dinners, salad, 4 entrees and dessert. We had a shrimp and scallop entree, which the scallop was very tender, another entree was a filet mignon with brie cheese with a chocolate infused wine sauce which was very good, the dessert was creme brulee and key lime cheesecake. The dinner was great, only negative was the quantity.

I just went to chef patricks and had tomato soup with artichoke floated with truffle oil ( a little salty) but otherwise great. Also had the pork loin with chantrelle mushrooms, mashed p's and veges. Lovely displayed and very good. Desert we had our usual creme brullee which was wonderfully done. The chef came by and said HI, he is Patrick. Lots if seafood also, mostly prawns. Not out of site,$18 - 21 entree. Nice atmosphere, simple but elegant. there is a full bar but we didn't try anything.

Although it looks just like a storefront cafe, we were delighted with our meals and service. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves food!
