Located right outside Guerneville, this little gem is wonderful to get in some exercise and not have to work hard just to get to it.

This whole park is gorgeous. Also has a large picnic area which can accommodate big groups too.

Several trails to choose, from flat, short and easy to look at the giant redwoods and learn about the forest; two 2+ mile with 400 or 500 foot gain for more of a workout; a longer 5+ mile trail for more strenuous hiking.

Only on the flat should you wear anything but hiking shoes

Thank Leendar

You cant fail to be amazed by the views in such a small space. Don't be put off doing a trail which goes away from the main area. Its well worth it, much quieter and the views across the tree line are truly breath-taking. No flip flops though and charge your camera before you go.. you will take loads of pics!

This place and the trees are amazing...so quiet and serene and awe-inspiring.

Everything seems well-maintained, and every employee we encountered was helpful and nice. There are several different trails from easy-peezy to some longer ones with more elevation change. Something for everyone!

We went here for a picnic lunch on Labor Day. It was not overly crowded but the picnic area was busy. Lots of tables in amongst the redwoods so you can sit and relax while having your lunch. Seeing the size of the redwoods was awe inspiring! I highly recommend this park to anyone who wants to see California's redwoods in a comfortable and relaxing setting.

A totally serene nature experience and free if you park in the ample parking lot on the way in. There are also lovely events there.
