Owner description: A scenic three-mile hiking trail from Gualala Point Regional Park to Walk-On Beach along the Pacific coast. This short trail in downtown Gualala can be accessed through the Surf Motel parking lot and next to the Shoreline Restaurant. The trail goes behind three motels/inns and other commercial buildings and follows the Gualala River. There are views of the river and the Pacific Ocean and benches along the way. Parts of it are relatively flat and other parts a bit more challenging.

“Nice easy hiking trail.”

This is actually more what I would call a walking trail than a hiking trail. It is relatively short in distance and quite level. Great place to walk along the ocean that is not actually at beach or water level.

The short walk along the Gualala Bluff Trail provides you with a way to get some fresh air, and wonderful views of the coastline. Be sure to take a camera!

“Short but sweet with wildlife & ocean views aplenty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2013

This provides delightful views of Gualala's black sand beach, the Gualala River mouth & gorgeous sunsets. Well built and maintained by the all volunteer Redwood Coast Land Conservancy. Enter behind Sea Cliff Center or Surf Motel. Many spots to sit on benches and relax to enjoy all the diverse views. Sea Lions, brown pelicans and many other sea birds can be regularly seen from the trail.

“Lovely view”

Great view, I only wish the trail was longer. There were plenty of places to sit and take in the fantastic ocean view.

“Spectacular”

There isn't a boring view from this trail! As you walk north you see ever changing rocky craggy areas of the bluff, beautiful Black Point Beach and interesting architecture of the custom homes.
