“I go to Pismo just for Fin's”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Love the food there. Love to sit outside, order the large fried fish, eat it with my husband and then have bread pudding and coffee. Then, walk the planks to the butterflies and enjoy my entire day on the dunes. BEST DAY ever includes lunch at Fin's!

“Just Awful”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

I have spent over 15 years working in the restaurant industry and I live eating all types of food in all types of locations.

One of the first rules that you learn working in restaurants is that washrooms must always be in great shape. I will just say that it wasn't.

The location is excellent and realistically they should be doing a better job of exploiting this. But there is no view from the restaurant, and while they do a good job of decorating the patio, it is still a disappointment.

The food was of the worst quality. Every single thing we ate was frozen and deep fried. Nothing was fresh. I am convinced that no one cares about the quality of the food at this place. They know you are there for the beach and take advantage of it. Shame on them.

In terms of service, the staff was very friendly and kept the place clean.

I would recommend trying somewhere else. You might have to drive 5 minutes to get there but it has to be better than this place

“A real local's place...”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Fin's is located adjacent to the entrance of a California State Beach, at the end of Grand Avenue in Grover Beach, CA. where visitors can dine while enjoying some wonderful ocean views. It is a very casual restaurant with great seafood and a very welcoming staff of employees. They also have a nice happy hour menu with reasonably priced and well portioned appetizers. I have become a regular patron at this "real local's place."

“Fried Fish Fave”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

This is the place to go if you want fish, clams, scallops, shrimps or pretty-much-anything 'n' chips. The batter is tasty and the dipping sauces are balanced. By no means is this a gourmet restaurant, but its some tasty grub right by the beach.

“Disappointment near the seashore”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

This restaurant is less than 300 yards from the shoreline yet all their entree's start out frozen. Tried a burger and it came with packets of condiments and a pile of bagged salad mix for lettuce. Had to ask for onion which the menu said it included. With it's superior location, this could be a great seafood restaurant with a little attention to detail.
