We stayed at a variety of hotels near Yosemite, but this had the best central location. The front desk was helpful and our room updated, clean, and spacious. It is NOT in Groveland! Keep driving towards the Park. Just beyond the hotel towards the park entrance is Rainbow Falls. A must stop! If you can handle 60 degree water and want some adventure wear a bathing suit!

Loved my stay in the bridalveil suite that included a private jacuzzi which was perfect after a day of strenuous hiking!

Also included fridge freezer, microwave, fresh coffee maker, dining room area and two flat screens useful if you want to watch something else on tv...also free parking and a restaurant one minute away.

This is a definite recommend from me.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Westgate Lodge: Wonderful deluxe lodgings (2 queen beds, refer, and micro). Loved the hot tub. Buckmeadows Restaurant next door had good food at reasonable prices. Gas station near by. Perfect location on Hwy 120 at Buck Meadows (although their address is Groveland), 11 miles to North Entrance of Yosemite National Park, another 8 miles to Crane Flat Campground where our son and his family camped. We had a fun four days seeing most of the sites in Yosemite National Park. Would do it again.

It's adorable on the outside, our room was nicely appointed and modern. We had a corner with a comfy pull-out couch so 3 adults had plenty of space. The pool area was nice -- although we didn't use it, and the grounds were immaculate. There is a diner, seemingly affiliated, next door. We had dinner and breakfast the next morning. And while the decor and menu are a little kitschy, the food was good (get the pie) and the staff very nice. It WAS a little on the pricey side -- not America's BEST, per se.

Stayed here one night on our way out of Yosemite. Good location on the major highway with minimal noise at night. Clean, spacious room and the bathroom had been renovated. Linens were better than at one of the major chains we had stayed at the night before. Bed and A/C were fine. The only real negative was the price which was rather high but again, I'm sure that's because of their location. However, the front desk was very helpful and accommodated us as best they could since we didn't have a reservation and they had limited rooms available. Would stay here again.

We drove from San Francisco and had stayed in a fantastic hotel in the centre, I was a little worried about this hotel, but everything worked out fine. The location was great, and very quiet at night. The room was clean, spacious and we had two good nights sleep. This hotel doesn't offer breakfast but there is diner next door (not brilliant but fills a hole in the morning).
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and I would recommend this hotel to all kind of guests. It's about 30 minutes from the actual park entrance, but it is so beautiful that the drive is great. They had a pool but we weren't able to use it as we were out all day.

Room is clean, bed is firm, bathroom is clean, WIFI works, don't know what else to add. This is a basic motel for higher than usual price due to its proximity to Yosemite. Gas next door is about 10% cheaper than Yosemite Crane Flat and Lee Vining but 15% more than out-of-park area. There is a restaurant too but we didn’t try that so no comment.

Hotel claims 15 minutes away from the park, that is true but it only takes you to the gate. Another 45 minutes is needed to the valley area. On the other hand, there is no much choice in the park unless you don’t mind camping in the Curry Village with potential Hankavirus (June – August 2012).
