I don't know where to start, we arrived in the middle of the afternoon after driving over from San Francisco (a really pleasant drive I might add), what a welcome. Alex showed us to our room, which was exceptional, a large room with a huge bed that I never wanted to get out of, perfect views and the cookies which my partner Dave had read about and couldn't get enough of!!!!

Seriously the rooms are beyond exceptional, spotlessly clean and so welcoming. One of my favourite memories of our holiday touring California, was being in Yosemite for the day, walking to Mirror Lake and Vernal Falls and coming back to the room, to find the fire on, lights dimmed and the truly scrumptious cookies waiting for us, it was like coming home - we loved it!!!

The breakfasts are exceptional - Steve is a domestic go, I wanted to bing him home in my suitcase but Alex was having none of it!!!

I cannot stress what a lovely couple Alex and Steve are, they are so helpful and you can truly see how much they enjoy sharing their stories with everyone and listening to your adventures. What exceptional hosts.

I cannot recommend Blackberry Inn highly enough, it's all we've talked about, if you don't stay here you serioulsy do not know what you are missing.

Rememeber if you have a long car journey to save some of your cookies, we did and they were very welcome on our 6 hour car journey to Santa Monica.

Our visit to Yosemite was made even more wonderful by our stay at the Blackberry Inn. Our hosts were gracious and friendly. The food was deliciuos and beautifully presented, and the rooms were comfortable, spacious and welcoming. In all respects the Blackberry Inn is a well run, quality operation.

Alex and Steve were the most gracious hosts we've EVER encountered. Our breakfasts were fantastic, and plenty to keep up fueled until dinner. We would have loved to hang out with Alex and Steve all day. Steve was most helpful with advice and suggestions on attractions to see in the area. My husband had a kidney stone attack while we were there, and we couldn't have gotten better attention in a hospital. They were there to offer every bit of assistance they could. We really did appreciate that! Alex made me a homemade card for my birthday which I will keep forever. They treated us like we were family. What wonderful hosts!!! The personal touch was above and beyond what you could ever expect anywhere else. We enjoyed getting to know them. They are truly wonderful people that made our stay a wonderful experience. Steve, Thank you for the Hummingbird experience. It is one I will never forget!

We just returned from a four-night stay at Blackberry Inn, and we recommend it highly. This B & B is very warm and cozy: the rooms all have fireplaces, very comfortable beds, and well-equipped private bathrooms. A common sitting room with very comfy couches offered the opportunity to relax in the evening, reading or visiting with other guests. The inn-keepers, Steve and Alex, were totally gracious, knowledgeable, nurturing and attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate to our needs. Steve's gourmet breakfasts were excellent and sustained us well through our hikes in snowy Yosemite. We were further spoiled by the delicious chocolate chip cookies that awaited us when we returned each day! On the third day of our stay, we were snowed in through the morning, so Steve kindly prepared lunch for us to get us through the day.
A special treat was the front porch of the B & B, which is filled with hummingbird feeders and hummingbirds...all day, even in winter!
Blackberry Inn is a wonderful place to settle into while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of wintertime in Yosemite and the Sierras.

We have just returned from a trip to Yosemite National Park. After checking into the lodge there, we checked right out...with no place to stay.
As recommended by a friend, we called the Blackberry Inn and a friendly voice answered the phone and spoke to me. After explaining our dilemma..Steve warmly said "Come on down... we'll take good care of you"... and boy did he mean it! The home itself is charming, roomy and extremely clean and well kept. The owners (Steve and Alex) were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we were always comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast each morning was superb....each day something different and quite honestly, was the best breakfast we ever had and enough food to carry us through our day... And when we returned each day, there was always freshly made chocolate chip cookies in our room and fresh hot tea available.
Because we were so happy there, we extended our trip to 5 days at the Inn and were very sorry when we had to leave. The rooms were immaculate and well appointed. We even had our own bathrooms which were fully stocked with everything you could need.
Whoever heard of hummingbirds in the winter? The Blackberry Inn has an abundance of them...I guess Steve and Alex are such great hosts, that not even the Hummingbirds want to leave!
I can only say that we would not hesitate to stay at the Blackberry Inn again and actually hope that we will be able to make another trip to Yosemite again ! And of course, no doubt, we will be staying at the Blackberry Inn!

We stayed for two nights at the Blackberry Inn B&B at the end of January and we highly recommend it. The owners/hosts Steve and Alex are simply the best. Upon arrival they greeted us and showed us our room (Bramble Rose). The Inn is spacious with three guest rooms with fireplaces, a comfortable lounge/sitting area upstairs, a large breakfast area and a porch with chairs to end the day.
Steve makes a wonderful breakfast that was delicious and more than enough to satisfy anyone’s appetite. He is truly creative in his menu and will alter the menu if you desire.
After we arrived and settled in our room Alex asked us if we wanted to take a ride on a quad and look at the trails in the area. We know Alex and Steve from Endurance Riding and this area is close to where the Buck Meadows Endurance Ride is held. They had just received six inches of rain the previous weekend when we arrived on a Wednesday. Alex took us out for about an hour showing us the trails and terrain. The trails after six inches of rain three days prior were great. There were some puddles in a few low areas but the trails were basically dry and of good footing. In addition to the B&B Steve and Alex are in the process of adding an area to camp with your horses. They are working out the details so for our next visit we might bring our steeds.
The Inn is approximately twelve miles from the Big Oak Flat Entrance to Yosemite. We spend one entire day in Yosemite and went snowshoeing near the Badger Pass Ski Area. There is an eight mile roundtrip trail from Badger Pass to Dewey Point. The views above the valley were unbelievable.
The stay was too short and we will be back again.
