The Hotel Charlotte has a number of rooms right in the hotel, but also has several condominiums to choose from. My husband and I stayed with family in one of the condominiums, part of the triplex. Our unit was called 'Birch' and had views of the golf course from the back bedrooms, patio doors, and the deck.

The condo was only minutes from the hotel, and since breakfast at the hotel was included, we appreciated how near it was and ate breakfast at the hotel on our way to day hikes in Yosemite and the surrounding areas. The breakfasts were self-serve with a variety of offerings. My favorite was the scrambled eggs. I don't know what the 'extra' ingredients were, but I've never had eggs that delicious before! Although there were five of us staying in the condo, there was plenty of room and comfort in this 3 bedroom/one bath unit. It was well kept-up, clean, and had all the amenities of home, including a gas grill on the deck, a complete kitchen, cable television, and free internet.

The Hotel Charlotte staff is pleasant, efficient, and helpful. They helped us find day hikes that were challenging for us, but not so challenging that they were beyond our abilities and gave directions to them that led us to the most beautiful scenic views.

The owners, Lynn and Victor, are gracious hosts and make everyone feel like they're part of the 'family.' We ate several evening meals at the hotel during our stay and were delighted with the variety of offerings. To say that our meals were delicious would be minimizing how much we enjoyed them.

We also enjoyed our evenings after dining at the Hotel Charlotte. Many of the guests gather in the 'parlor-like' sitting area and chat about their day and share experiences. We felt fortunate to meet a number of international visitors in a setting that allowed us to interact comfortably.

And what a treat to meet Goose, the piano playing dog who is running for Mayor of Groveland! This truly was a great vacation! Thanks, Lynn and Victor! We'll be back.

We both enjoyed this cozy hotel for dining. The Caesar salads (both nights) were crisp, tasty without a sign of head lettuce. My mussels were delicious and my husband loved his calamari with fresh vegetables and tasty rice. The second night my husband had the seafood with pasta and I the chicken with artichokes, mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. Lucky locals!!

If you are in town you will not be disappointed.

Hotel Charlotte served our MG car club a dinner for 26 people. No problems at all dealing with the hotel. They made up a fixed price menu and all comments from the club members were positive. Additionally many of the club members stayed at the hotel for two nights while touring the Yosemite area. Rooms were also fine and the front balcony hosted our pre dinner gathering.

The Charlotte Hotel/Restaurant is probably the best restaurant in Groveland for dinner. The owners are great, friendly and cordial and make your evening's atmosphere fun. The food is prepared by Victor who is part owner with his wife Lynn and he is a really good chef. The waiters are most helpful and friendly also.
