“Great coffee, cool art house”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

This place has great espresso coffee, and is just a cool place to visit. The art and crafts on display, most of which is for sale, are well worth taking a look.

“Eclectic, Wholesome, Art and Plants Too”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

This little "cafe" was a delightful surprise for us.
They create and serve excellent baked goods, nutritious drinks, coffees, teas, and freshly-made lunches. One woman seemed to make it all, so we had to wait about 10 minutes to be served, but there was lots else to see here so that was OK.

The cafe is in the family home from mid-1800's. But the best part of this cafe is the photo collection from Robb Hirsch, a local landscape photographer with a highly refined photographic eye and ability to capture light. Guests are free to explore several rooms of the home gallery. Also there's a nursery featuring many native plants in the garden out back.

Finally, there is free, very fast WiFi and several couches and seating areas in the gallery rooms for staying connected on the road.

Our best advice: Buy Breakfast or Lunch there and eat in their garden, right out the back door if the weather permits. Most people ate inside and didn't know about the outdoor dining area.

“Not a cafe its a coffee bar in a nursery”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Lovely atmosphere to get your morning coffee. Dont expect to get it fast though, thats part of its hippie charm.

Enjoy the store, the surroundings and colorful neighbors

“A joke”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

You have to be kidding...5 stars?? Mountain Sage is not a cafe. There is not a farm fresh breakfast. There is not a table to sit at, or a waitress, or any of the things that make up a cafe. Mountain Sage is a want to be coffee bar, with a few dried scones and some dead plants in the back. So if you are looking for a good breakfast don't go here.

“Delicious, relaxing and eco friendly”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Everyone who took the first sip of their drink, whatever it was, always exclaimed with delight! We liked it so much we went back the next day. Be sure to sit in the garden with your treats and enjoy the natural surroundings.
