What an experience this was. Five star for atmosphere and friendliness, but it would be difficult to rate the accommodation as more than one star. The place was built in 1928 and clearly has not changed much since then. The rooms were basic and, while the bed linen was clean, there were plenty of cobwebs to decorate the room. The toilets and washouse were on the same floor and were pretty basic, but there was hot water. We had a tremendous time in the bar in the evening talking to the proprietor and the locals, so this was absolutely fantastic. They helped greatly in tracing some long lost rellies in the area. The food was good, basic and wholesome. Yes, visit it, because this small township of 30 people has some interesting and wonderful people, but do not expect luxury! It is an experience Ishall long treasure.
