Two of us ordered to go pizza and salad early in the day for pick-up at 5:30. It was ready! Had the Mediterranean thin crust pizza and their green salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Both were very good - salad was very fresh and dressing was especially good.

Awesome pizza! I can't believe we haven't eaten here before. We each ordered a slice of cheese pizza which we then added our own toppings. The portions are huge, I bet most can't eat two pieces. We ordered the Caesar's salad, which we shared and it was delicious. All of the salad dressings are made in house and very good. They also have a good selection of beers.

Love their pizza and salad! Just wish they had more seating in their grass valley location. The pizza is so good (any kind) paired with the greek salad. When I moved here from the Bay Area I was worried I wouldn't find a place with good pizza that had the type of crust I like but Pete's fits the bill! I love that they sell their pizza by the slice (which my husband and I sometimes share, it's a large slice). Good pizza, sides and service always.

If you really want good pizza, you have to get it on the east coast. Most of the country experience saucy thick crust pizza with questionable cheese.

I recently had the one of worst (highly recommended by the staff of the Courtyard in Texas-complete with-its soo good that I want some now )pizza experiences I have ever had. If I could remember the name with out remembering the taste, I would have written a review.

Needing to beat the Sacramento heat, my daughter and I went to Grass Valley. Starving most things were closed until dinner time. We passed Pete, (which is next door to city parking) it seemed to be trying to do too much in its menu. But after walking a couple of blocks, it was Pete's or sandwich chain.

We ordered an extra large combo pizza with sun dried tomato's. Not sure he is the owner, you could see his passion in his construction of the pizza. When the pizza arrived the crust wasn;t brown a concern.

With the first bite, we were silent. The thin crust was excellent, as of the use of the ingredients. nothing too over whelming. Nothing overpowered. It was simply excellent. He makes his own crust and again passionately. The small downside of this passion is I wonder how it effect business when it is busy. But know what I know. I would wait.

The single reason, that he did not get an excellent five star rating. and this may not be fair. The restaurant seems to be about the pizza, and we didn't want to try the salad. Next visit we will.

Grass Valley, Ca is a nice change from metro Sacramento. There are few chains in the downtown area, and many nice shops........
