If you're in the Graeagle area and want a good and well prepared dinner get to the Grizzly Grill in Blairsden. I started out with a very cold, perfectly made straight-up vodka martini which would have cost about $12 in the SF Bay area. This was about 8 bucks. The wife had the pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and I had a rare New York steak, done to perfection with a big tasting by-the-glass cab. The pot roast was balanced with enough veggies, and the garlic mashers were not too whipped--just right. The ambiance is mountain rustic with attentive service (midweek, about 6 tables seated).
These two foodies left happy and surprised to find such a gem in this little mountain town. Still thinking about that meal.
