Great golf course that few seem to know is around. Was on a trip to Santa Barbara in September and decided to throw in some golf. Considered the Sandpiper, so called the "Poor man's Pebble Beach" with ocean view. Still too expensive for this working girl. Decided on Glen Annie Golf Club in the foothills of Goleta. What a smart choice. Interesting course that I can only describe as Alice in Wonderland like, twisting, hilly with some daunting elevations, and great view of the ocean. Plus, I could see my alma mater - UCSB in the distance. Forget losing balls to the water gods, you have to contend with the bush gods (intimidating walls of tall grass). The staff are awesome. Apparently, was on the verge of closing and taken over by some firm. But, a lot of people in town didn't know it was still open. Good becase less people, a little hidden gem.
