“Wonderful stay in a beautiful location”

Beautiful B&B with wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Blue Room which was large, nicely furnished, well appointed with everything we needed and spotless! Breakfast was delicious and very plentiful with fresh fruit, homemade bread and jams, along with daily offerings such as blueberry French toast or partridgeberry pancakes with bakeapple syrup. The area has lots to offer such as hiking trails and beaches. There are several nice places to eat fairly close by and it is very close to a convenience store and a liquor store.

Room Tip: Pick the larger rooms, the Orca or Blue with the seating areas in them, especially if you are stayin...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in July. We chose the Prints of Whales because of its proximity to Terra Nova National Park and the good reviews it received in Tripadvisor. We can only add to the positive comments.

We stayed in the Beluga Room, a bit on the small side, but sufficient. If you have many bags, you may want to choose a different room. The room was comfortable and very clean.

The breakfast was fantastic - one day we had the best fish cakes we had during our entire two weeks in Newfoundland! I would recommend the Prints of Whales without any hesitation and would stay there again if we were to visit the area again.

Its also worth noting that while this area is somewhat lacking in restaurant options, two of the better ones are close by.

Thank you very much for your very positive review. It is much appreciated as is your taking the time to comment on TripAdvisor. We are pleased that you enjoyed the fish cakes. We too wish that Beluga was a larger room but, for now, we have to settle for cozy. Best wishes!

We had good feelings from the start for we knew the hosts wanted to make our stay memorable. When making the reservation, Wayne advised that the Accordion Festival was starting the night before our arrival and he offered to get tickets for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. That evening following the Festival, Ruth and Wayne treated the other guests and ourselves to a "Mug-Up" at which warm friendly conversation flowed. The accommodation and breakfast was among the best we have experienced in our travels and we will have no hesitation in recommending "the Prints of Whales Inn" to others.

It is really gratifying when guests take the time to write a review especially when is a positive as yours. Again, Thank You! It is also a pleasure having someone respond positively to our offer of tickets and even more so when you enjoy the concert that follows. We have made this offer to many of our guests but you are one of only three to respond positively. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

We stayed here for one night, the room was large with a whale theme. A little gift was left on the bed which was a very nice and appreciated. This place was above and beyond expectations.

The breakfast was delicious and the hosts where very nice and knowledgeable about Nain in Labrador. Take the time to read the story about the polar bear in the binder in the room!

Ruth and Wayne are very kind and helpful. They recommended to dine at Happy adventure Inn restaurant and made the reservations for us, the food was great and the view amazing.

Highly recommend this B & B to everyone.

Ps: A must see is the village of Salvage about 15 km from the B&B, thanks to Ruth & Wayne for making us discover this littlle corner of paradise.

Nice BIG and clean room, amazing breakfast combined with real down home Newfie hospitality.
Close to many beaches and the lovely village of Salvage (worth the drive). Ruth reserved dinner for us at the Happy Adventure Inn... great food and view there! Fantastic breakfast... great hosts.

We stayed at The Prints of Whales for 3 nights in the "Blue" room, a lovely spacious room. On the bed was a souvenir print and gift and a welcome card. This was our first vacation where we stayed in B&B's and our stay with Ruth and Wayne was fantastic. They are the best hosts. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade breads toasted, jams and jellies, fruit salad, juice, tea, coffee and a different entree every morning. They recommended a new restaurant for us to go to when we arrived and made reservations for our final dinner at the Inn at Happy Adventure. If you go to Newfoundland you have to stay at The Prints of Whales, it is the best!
