We stepped into a very large and festive room, obviously designed for large and lively family celebrations, so I didn't expect much when we popped in for a late lunch for two on a Saturday afternoon. Well, hey! This was a great serendipitous experience. Husband ordered the cheese boreg and an Armenian sausage dish -- all very good. But I had the grilled shrimp over rice and I have not had better anywhere. I was served a plate of 10 large juicy succulent shrimp that tasted of a bit of char without being the slightest bit overdone. I have been to seafood restaurants all over this country and this is the best preparation of grilled shrimp ever. Service was excellent, truly professional. I highly recommend Carousel. It's much more of a serious restaurant than you expect and a very impressive kitchen.
