This place is amazing... Can not say enough about the bakery and lunch items! Eating here is pretty much as close to heaven as you can get in your mouth. Highly recommend, can not say one bad thing about this place!

“The place where dreams come true...in so many ways!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

was working in Glendale when I stopped at Porto's for coffee and pastry before work....so glad I did!!! What a place to stop at , the food is the best and service is wonderful. All that pales in comparison to meeting the most perfect man there, my extra bonus!! You will not be disappointed here, you might have to wait but it is well worth it. The wait is not as long as you will think when you see the lines, they move very fast, these people are excellent. Enjoy watching this excellent staff handle the crowds and the regulars that know they have to grab numbers form the "take a number" system. You will never forget this place, I will never go to Glendale and not visit.

“Cuisine Adventure”

One thing that I am really impressed about Porto's is its service. Every time I go there, every staff member I encountered, always served me with a smile. The organization is amazingly effective, as there are always a long line, but never a long wait. The food they serve are just wonderful. Their array of pastries are awesome, unlike any other place I've visited.

“A must place to visit in Glendale”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

My hotel recommended a place for breakfast which was in the same block....Portos's Bakery & Cafe. Based on some of the menu items, the owners are probably Cuban. It's easy to see why on a Sunday morning it was jammed with people buying their incredible baked goods or for breakfast. It has 2 large rooms- 1 for breakfast and the other for purchasing baked goods. You order your breakfast and select pastries from the counter, they give you a number to display, and your food is delivered to your table. The operation is very efficient, well run, and the staff keeps the dining area spotless. Having lived in Puerto Rico for many years it was a joy for me to have Cuban coffee, quesitos, pan tostado, fresh squeezed OJ, and see many familiar items on the menu. They had many traditional American fare items as well and the cakes and pastries were incredible. There was a line of probably 30 people waiting to buy baked items to take out. They also have places in Burbank and Downey.
