Stayed here in June with the family and alone in August on business. The staff smiles a lot, and it's contagious. Rooms are clean, spacious enough. Great views. The breakfast is special in a good way. (Ask for Edwin as a server as he's great with kids and adults) Pool area with hot tub was nice with some shade part of the day. Exercise room was very nice..should've used it more!

Room Tip: South-facing windows on higher floors get a good, distant view of downtown LA and hustle and bustle...

We had a good experience, except for the last night we were there. Beside our room were people from the wedding who were having a party and they were very loud until 1:30 in the morning, took security a while to resolve the problem. Otherwise everything else good, the room, the breakfast and staff.

Recently, my son and his family and my father came to Glendale to visit and I booked them at the Hilton in two rooms. The evening my son checked in it was after midnight and there was a small snag in their reservation as they had reserved two double beds but the only thing available was a king. The front desk sent up two rollways and it was perfect. The room was spacious and had an outstanding view of the hills. One of the best things about the stay was the great breakfast buffet. Their server, Juan, was exceptional. They asked each day which section he would have the next day just to have him as a waiter. Ana at the front desk was so attentive and helpful. Housekeeping on both the 9th and 12th floor where the two rooms were was great. The pool was a huge hit with the kids. The pool area, hot tub and deck area were very clean and spacious. We could not have asked for a nicer staff and the hotel itself was just wonderful. The location was convenient to everything Glendale has to offer and Los Angeles is just a short drive away.

Room Tip: If you are requesting a king room, ask for a corner room for more square footage

The hotel and staff were excellent. The air conditioning was marginal and only acceptable because the outside temps were very pleasant. The workout facilities and pool were nice as was just aboout everything except the A/C.

I spend over 150 nights a year in hotel rooms, so I appreciate it when I find a hotel that is quiet, clean and well located. The Hilton Glendale is my kind of hotel. It is located just minutes from downtown Glendale, which is very convenient. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I enjoyed my stay and plan on coming back many times in the future.

Asked for and received room on 12th floor with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Our breakfast buffet was comp'd even though the paperwork didn't reflect it. (We were part of a family reunion package deal, which had been pre-coordinated, but unfortunately not completely recorded.) The breakfast buffet was very good, though at $20 each - seemed a bit high, unless you're a big eater. Parking fee is standard for the area, be prepared. The small gym was well equipped. The pool was very clean, but by evening clean pool towels weren't available (or else we didn't know where to find them).

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up on the mountain side.

This was a pure business trip... The location made it the smart choice during planning.... Very convenient with lots of restaurant options just a few blocks down... For those who only read the first couple lines: I absolutely would return - no doubt about it.

Specificities: this is an older hotel; but during my stay an entire Hilton executive group was touring and planning on how to update and refurbish certain areas (directly from an employee); but to clarify it may be older, but it was certainly not bad; very clean - no mold or musty smells - which matters A LOT if you're an asthmatic. Great pool area - perfect for kids... Not too large, but a great consideration for families

Customer assistance was crazy good. Check-in was fast... The front desk clerk not only changed my room rate to a lower level, but also COMP'D me breakfast tickets... I am a HHonors member, but not qualifying for the automatic breakfast tickets... That's customer service - thanking you for being a member - seeing your points - seeing how much you travel - and then comp'ing tickets "just because."

I read the other reviews, every single employee I encountered was friendly, helping, and inquired if there was anything they could do to improve my stay... 5 stars... Bellman / concierge: great... Gave me airport transfer tips - saved me from paying too much $$ on a taxi... Checked on me at least three (3) separate times.

Doormen: actually engaged me in conversation about how my dinner (had outside of the hotel) was.... Nobody does this anymore... BTW - this was my first "In & Out Burger" experience... Crazy good and it's a quick drive or cab ride straight down the road... These doormen know how to treat people... Definitely 5 stars

Food: omelet was amazing... Every single food item was great... Entire area was both tidy and well stocked... They were literally tripping over each other to ensure that I was taken care of.... Drinks re-filled before I finished / plates taken away / buffet food even DELIVERED to my table without asking... Remarkable.

Top floor bar / wait staff: perfect... Didn't try to force food or drinks on you... More than happy to bring you a non-alcohol beverage.... And the terraces themselves are worth the stay... Try to catch the terrace on the far right side (when you walk in)... It's shaded and will allow a full evening of cool relaxation... Pricey yes - but you get what you pay for.......

All facets were 5 stars... After the re-model my review would be a FULL 5... But regardless, this would be a definite return visit for me when I'm back in the region

Room Tip: Request a mountain view... High floors are better
