“Bad Experience”
Reviewed April 23, 2011

Unfortnunately had a bad experience at this Hilton. There have been many reviews that warned about priceline customers getting bad rooms. Maybe this is what happened to us. We got a good deal on Priceline for 2 nights. In the room that we got, the Air Conditioning would not work and we had 2 very sleepless nights. The Engineers came twice to fix it, and explained that apparently the system not functioning was very common. One wierd thing was that the bathroom door was just a sliding door with no locks and there were no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom. The only good thing was that the hotel was clean and smoke free.

I've been to this hotel twice since late February, and I love it! Everyone, from the valet to the front desk to the maids, are wonderful! The restaurant breakfast buffet is lovely, and everything is clean, fresh and beautifully maintained. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat! The location is great (for me), and they were super accomodating.
It is safe, convenient and affordable.
Would I go back again? Yes, next month....

Stayed here on business and it was great. Good location in a really nice area, but the room was what impressed me the most. It was spacious with modern furniture and a flat screen TV. There was even a mini fridge and I got a room with nice mountain views. The fitness center was also really nice. Spacious with all of the modern equipment. The only negative was parking which they charge and it's underground so it was a little uncomfortable going in and out. Other than that, everything else was great.

Let me start by saying that my biggest mistake was staying in a business hotel for a leisure trip. I chose this hotel for a 4-day jaunt around Los Angeles with my sister based on a few positives: I knew the Glendale area was upscale, safe and located within a short driving distance from the Los Angeles sights we'd planned to visit. It also happened to be 'LA Marathon weekend' and we could not get the aforementioned good deals on 4-star hotels anywhere in the L.A. area. It was frustrating to have to pay $170 + tax + $18 parking each day for a thin-walled room overlooking a parking garage and the hotel heating/AC system on a roof directly below my room. I was unpleasantly surprised to step off the elevator on our room's floor and find outdated, peeling wallpaper and scuffed paint on the room doors. The actual room was better in the area of decor and furnishings. 4-star hotel?? Only the price was 4-star.

We did not test the quality of any hotel restaurants, lounges or room service as the prices were absolutely laughable. The parking garage, however, was very convenient, easy to navigate, and had the most friendly and helpful employees.

This hotel would, most likely, be absolutely fine for a lone business traveler on an expense account. If you are a leisure traveler, I highly recommend choosing an alternate location and a hotel where employees are motivated to treat their guests with friendliness and respect.

After the time and effort to get "a good deal" on the web, we finally found a room "about half price" on Priceline. $74 for a $150 room. Room is nice, but not extravagant, but it's the hidden fees that come as a surprise (on Priceline, you do not know your hotel until you pay for it.)
With parking ranging from $18 to $23 a day, and cocktails at $12.50, and a room service charge (21% automatically added, PLUS $2.50 delivery) that is as exorbitant as any I've seen in 5 star European hotels, by the time you park and have a sandwich, your "savings" have disappeared.
Also, there are charges for the internet, which is really not very classy.

Front desk said they have a safe deposit box but that's not really an option...especially with everything we carry around these days...IPADs etc...This is clearly a business-oriented hotel and they probably need to step up their game in this area.

Fees fees and more fees! Typical of hotels of this class, you don't get much for free at this hotel... $18 for parking, $13 for the internet, and don't even think about a free breakfast or anything like that. Despite this, the hotel was nice because I only paid $62 on priceline. If I paid the published rates I would say this hotel isn't worth it.

Had a nice room on the 2nd floor...they seem to have been recently remodeled but I wouldn't call them eloquent or comfortable. Desk chair is hard plastic and uncomfortable but the beds were supremely comfortable. There was a sitting area near the window sill that was pretty cool as well. Bathroom was fine although the water pressure was pretty pathetic. Fridge for your drinks? Nope. Overall, room was quite spacious if not the hippest although I liked some of the Hollywood themed pictures in the room and hallways. I think this hotel also allows pets as I think I heard a dog barking.

Bring your own toiletries to this hotel... many Hilton's like this one use those awful Evelyn and Crabtree products that leave you smelling like an 80 year old woman named Evelyn. These are definitely not toiletries you want to stock up on and stuff in your bag on the way out! A woman in the elevator was complaining about them too so I am glad I'm not the only one who hates that stuff...

Check in was fast and mostly friendly and the parking garage attendant was really sweet... you have to hand them your ticket each time you enter/exit. Underground garage was nice and spacious. Elevators were a short walk from parking garage elevators. Lobby was nicely appointed for Christmas.

Overall, a nice hotel if unspectacular. Would feel completely ripped off if I paid full price but felt it was a nice for the price. Would stay again.
